Free name change

I was browsing around the guides section and noticed this thread:

After a couple minutes of reading I realized this could very well be used to get a free name change as well, but only if the character you want the name change has been inactive for a while.

Free character name change (Option 1)

This is what you require to get the free name change:

1. An inactive character which you would like to recieve the free name change
2. A friend, or another account

If you have the following you're most likely able to get a free name change!
Now, all you need to do is follow these directions:

1. Open a ticket on your other account
2. In the ticket ask to petittion the name of the character who's name you'd like changed, along with several other names to not raise suspicion.
3. Wait for a response
4. If everything went well you should be able to log in and recieve a free name change!

Free character name change (Option 2)

What you'll need:
1. A character who's name you'd like to change
2. Another account/friend's account

If you meet the requirements, follow these steps:
1. Delete the character who's name you'd like to change
2. On your other account/friend's account level a character to 15+ with the name of the character you deleted (The higher the level the better!)
3. On the account who's name you're changing open a ticket asking to restore the character (Careful, if you've restored too many characters previously they may not restore this one.)
4. Once the character is restored you'll receive a free name change, unless you've deleted the level 15+ character you leveled.

I apologize in advance if there's already a thread about this, I searched and found nothing.

Sounds more like a theory than an actual how to guide. You haven't done this yet so there is no proof this works.

The stealing names works ive got about 30 names ive stolen so far and made about 90k in doing so. If you actually can provide proof you were able to do this than just do theory craft ill +rep you.

You're right, I have another method of free name changes which I've tried and succeeded at. I'll post that as well.

This one won't work, the GM will say that the names are now unlocked and that you can now buy a name change.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. If the name is unlocked that would mean that your character would no longer have a name, which would mean you'd need a new one and if your name is taken you would receive a free name change.

from my experience (getting my old name from my banned account), they simply change the name from, say, "donald" to "danald". its not like when you have a namechange and it prompts you to rename.

Well, I've done option 2 various times with success, I guess it may just depend upon your GM.
