You can get the best mage, or any class, on your server that has no talent build. It's skill and gear, not how you spec'd.

u cant get 3k frostbolt crits with greens and blues at 70 u need about 1k spelldmg

u can get that kind of crits whit green and blues...

Always found Fire more fun than Frost, only downside i find is not being able to last as long... but i'm pretty good at getting out of tough/melee situations so i don't suffer too bad from it.

Plus, i find Frosties ''pwnage'' only comes if their IB/Pet is on cooldown, obvious you might say... but it makes me wonder why people label Pom Pyro mages as 'nubspecs' when it's nomore cooldown reliant as deep Frost.

I'm Elemental atm, but play it barely any differently to PoM Pyro spec. Frostbolt here and there instead of AB, Shatter can be useful... still unsure if there's really all that much difference since i lose some nice things from Arcane anyway. But Frost... jeez, long cast times make fighting a lot less exciting for me. JMO.

well the spec tottaly depends on the type of play skill the player is palying if hes in a end game guild he needs to be fire to do the damage required and (only go frost for alar) and as for PVP i can claerly say that frost mages are the strongest class on a 1vs1 sutuation as a healer i can heal fire mages hits and POM pyro but with frost mages you find it hard since your uaslly busy healing in arena to think about despeling yourself some times from frost nova and the mage spams ice lance and then freezes again with his pet and ice lance which crits for alot and does big damage with his pet hiting you plus i think in a duel if a frost mage duels a fire i think the frost will win since if the fire mage POM pyro mage if hes fast enugh he can ice block which then will pwn the fire mage to death with his pet alone and usally in arena mages pop trinket and then sommon there pet which get alot of damage then and its sick with the mages frost bolt :S

but still every 1 got a point of view BUT PRIEST OWN MANA BURN FTW
