Easy Rep Grinding for Steamwheedle Cartel

Hai again! Kodah Softpaw here with another guide! This one is for an easy way to farm reputation with the Steamwheedle Cartel (Booty Bay, Ratchet, Gadgetzan, and Everlook).

How it works: You have to complete a quest-line in STV in order to do this, the reason being; during the quest-line you will become phased with booty bay, You will see no other players(except those who are also on the quest) and booty bay will be on fire and under attack. The mobs attacking BB are low- mid 30's... Worgens - which give no rep just loot, and Bloodsail Npcs on the ships. You have to run up through the inn and jump off the top in order to get on the ship, the ship is filled with many bloodsail pirates with a very fast respawn rate. For each kill you gain +6 rep with booty bay and +3 for Ratchet, Gadgetzan, and Everlook) as well as the -25 for the Bloodsails. A friend and myself were farming them 2 people on the same ship, and we could not kill them as fast as they were respawning, we one-shotted them and did not loot. The rep gain may be small but the pure number of mobs on the ship + the fast respawn rate makes up for it.

    How to: Instructions -
First you need to be able to start the quest chain given by this guy: First Mate Crazz - NPC - World of Warcraft
    Attachment 5151
If he does not have a quest for you then you need to see "Sea Wolf" MacKinley - NPC - World of Warcraft and do Scaring Shaky - Quest - World of Warcraft

Then Pick up The Bloodsail Buccaneers - Quest - World of Warcraft from First Mate Crazz - NPC - World of Warcraft follow the quest line leading up to Seeing Where Your Loyalties Lie - Quest - World of Warcraft this will allow you to complete quests on the pirate ships east of booty bay. Do The Brashtide Crew - Quest - World of Warcraft, Sinking From Within - Quest - World of Warcraft, and Making Mutiny - Quest - World of Warcraft

After completing these quests you will get Call of Booty - Quest - World of Warcraft followed by one "Go inside and find that item" and one "Bring that item back to me"-quests.

When you pick up Return to Revilgaz you will be in a phased Booty Bay! Just don't hand the quest in, you can abandon it if you choose, it will not un-phase you.

Credit for finding the phase goes to hanzerpanzer http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/memb...zerpanzer.html and his idea/thread to use the phase to snipe the neutral AH Here -> http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...h-sniping.html <- Thanks!

Well, Thanks for reading ^^ Enjoy! Will be posting more soon <3

Never done this, but let's do some math.
    6 rep per kill.
Lets say to kill a pirate, and start combat with another one, takes 10 seconds.
So, 6 rep per 10 seconds.
    6 X 6 = 36 rep per minute
    36 X 60 = 2,160 rep per hour
If you want to find Steamwheedle Cartel rep, just divide that number by 2, (1,080 rep/hour)
Definitely not amazing, but if you had a bot farm overnight for a few nights, you could do decent.

Counterwise, this can be used to grind rep with Bloodsail, since the guards also are level 35

FYI its 3 rep per kill (3 Ratchet, 3 BB, 3 Everlook) and thats with [Battle Standard of Coordination] or [Standard of Unity] plus the guild perk.

So half your Rep Calculation to 1080 rep/h (per faction)

as a Feral tank i found the Easiest thing to do was Pull the entire boat with Demo Roar then thrash to kill them all in the basement. pull the whole ship up to the Rudder Wheel and thrash again. back and forth, back and forth.

    Slow, but effective.

FYI, these pirates stop giving giving +6rep to Booty Bay after hitting 5999/6000 friendly. They still give 3 rep per kill to the other 3 factions. Mentioned above TehVoyager claims it's only 3 with guild perk and standard. This is not entirely true, as with the guild perk you get 3 rep each kill, but with the Standard of Coordination (the one with the 15% rep increase) you get first 3, then 4, then 3, 4, 3, 4, 3, 3 (some times you get 3 twice in a row).

AND the rep/hour gain is somewhat higher than i read further up. I was able to gain 3900 rep/hour with the "spillover" rep to the other 3 factions on this boat (Ret paladin, and the only spells/abilities I used were: Judgement, Crusader Strike, Divine Storm and Templar's Verdict AND sometimes Exorcism if it procced).

Have fun grinding, it's boring as hell. Revered with Booty Bay, Everlook and Ratchet, Exalted with Gadgetzan and Honored (was) with Bloodsail. Gogo Insane!
