This location requires that the correct Golden Lotus dailies be up (the ones for Mistfall Village), or else the mobs won't be spawned. You can probably ask around with your friends on other servers to see if the dailies are up on their server(s), and have them invite you to a group. This spot is best done (in my opinion) with a class that can grab lots of mobs and survive them hitting on you, as they have around 350k health each, and kill them efficiently. I myself did it as a Dark Apotheosis spec'd warlock with my BM hunter friend.
This can be a decent spot for farming other low drop rate things if that's what you want, but through farming this spot with a hunter friend for half an hour, two Skyshards dropped. I believe that if you were to do that and got as lucky as we did, you can farm all 10 in several hours.
The quest you need to be up is called "Sprite Plight." Sprite Plight - Quest - World of Warcraft
The mobs you need to be spawned and you need to look for are called Slateskin Troublemaker. Slateskin Troublemaker - NPC - World of Warcraft
I would provide screenshots, but I took none when I last did that daily. Next time it is up for my server, I will take screenshots and update my thread.
The best spot I noticed to farm these is going up the hill leading to the closed off Mogu-looking place, indicated in this screenshot.

Again, next time these dailies are up, I can provide more precise screenshots, but basically here's how the spot works:
A decent amount of the sprites run up that hill fairly often, which can be killed en mass by a decent AOEer. By killing so many, you're bound to come upon a Skyshard drop, just as me and my friend came across two of them by farming for a total of 30 minutes. This spot can be done by anybody, but if done alone I'd think it's best to be a tank or a class that can heal. Grouping up with a healer could allow you to kill the mobs much faster by not having to worry about dying, so that's an idea too.
I hope you enjoy this spot, I found it to be really good for us, so I hope it wasn't just dumb luck. Thanks for reading
