Top Reasons to be an Engineer in Cataclysm

    Cataclysm Engineering Compendium

Hello all! Continuing onward with my Engineering threads, today I will discuss some of the top reasons as to why you should choose Engineering as your profession in Cataclysm. As you’ve no doubt gathered by now, Engineering can, at times, be a ludicrously expensive endeavor to pursue. Thus, one should ensure that sufficient in-game capital is available for use before continuing onward. Please don’t be one of those people begging in guild chat for some extra frostweave cloth. Being an Engineer is more than just having a profession. It’s a mentality, it’s a mindset, it’s knowing that every single other Engineer out there had to blow thousands upon thousands of gold to get to where they are now. Now, let us begin! This time, I'll try and be quick and to the point.

I quite like the guide. I also like the idea of been an engineer, But I'm sure you will agree, A lot of the items that are of any use (Cogwheels) and helmets are aimed almost exclusively at rouges. Taking this into account, I would not deem the profession suitable for Warlocks

Could not disagree more! I've been a Warlock and an Engineer since Vanilla. The helms, sockets, and enchants are incredibly useful.
