Making boatloads of gold during Children's Week

It may still be quite a few days away, but it's wise to prepare for it, starting today! That is if you want to make extra 12,000g during it!

As you may know, certain items will be VERY high in demand during the Children's Week, even if they are super easy to obtain. But let's face it, people are lazy! And that is what makes us rich

Also certain items are "harder" to acquire now with the portals gone, such as Dalaran donuts!

These are the items that will have their prices rise to the roof during the first day of Children's Week, and in many realms even before that! Last Children's Week happened during WOTLK and people were way more poor back then, so the prices will be even higher now, but are still only estimates!

Popular items and their estimated AH prices during the first days of the event (Yes people buy vendor sold items from AH!):

Small Egg: 70g/ea

Warning: The prices will keep dropping as the event continues, so start listing your items the day before the event starts! The prices are only estimates and are based on what people pay for easy to obtain items on my realm. People will undercut you a lot on some realms, and on other realms the same items may go for 200% higher prices!

Note: You should not farm these yet. Instead, check your AH every day and see if these items are sold for ridiculously low prices and buy them! But do not buy vendor sold items. You will be the one selling them in AH when the time comes!

Are you trolling? Simple flour and mild spices are a few silver and right next to the auctionhouse, same for Flask of port. And yes, people will pay way too much for some things, but no one will go and pay 1k to get all their eggs.

So are inscription supplies sold close to the Auction House and you wouldn't believe how many buy those! I also have cooking spices and coal stacks in AH and people buy them everyday, even if its 500% cheaper if they visit a vendor instead! You should give it a go and see how lazy rich people are

The inscription dusts go for 1-2g, which is not literally ~10000 times as much as ex. spice

Nope, I don't. But I'm quite certain that my 4 years of experience and having World Events as one of my main income sources (-cough-halloween-cough-) is enough to know what and what will not sell. I actually made a guide for the World Events once, making this a semi repost.

Well, theoretically this could possibly grant you a few thousand gold, but in reality, it doesnt, because theres usually 20-30 other people pulling off the exact same stunt as you, OP.

For the record of vendor items, I can daily sell Dust of Disappearance for 50g on my server.


Also in the "Bad Example" Achivement is "Tigule and Foror's Strawberry Ice Cream"
Can be found in the bottom of the STV Zepp in Org all year round, or on the ship in 1k needles, or Innkeeper Caregiver Isel at Nargrand.
Vendors pop-up in cities during the event however, so I am just selling cheap at the moment to see if people get it before the event starts.

i stacked up on those chocolate cakes, someone sold me 20 of em for 40 gold each, now lets hope they will be 100-400g when children's week hits :P thanks for the guid (now can someone tell me how to +rep someone because i really can't find the button)

Care to elaborate on "boatload"?How big exactly is the boat, what length and depth, and what is it maximum capacity, and I'm not quite sure what size one gold coin is, but if you could find that out and find how many your boat holds, I'd be glad to rep you.
