Exploiting Alchemists (Not literally an exploit)

This is entirely about Truegold and it's cooldown.

The following prices come directly from my server, which has an average economy.

    Truegold reagents:

    3 Pyrium Bar = 60g, 20g each

    10 Volatile Air = 240g, 24g each

    10 Volatile Fire = 190g, 19g each

    10 Volatile Water = 170g, 17g each.

    Total cost: 660g (average)

Now, find an Alchemist with Transmutation Mastery. Have them xmute the truegold, tip 100g.

No proc? Advertise in /trade: "Selling truegold cd 100g" (or more, for that matter) All you have to do is get traded the reagents for the truegold, and then trade back the original truegold and receive your tip.

Search once again for another transmutation master, buy the cd...

    No proc? Repeat.

    Proc? Profit!

Nothing big, just a nice concept I've been using.

I think the OP is saying you can make money by buying truegold CD's from alchemists and then reselling them in trade if they don't proc. You lose the initial 100g but then gain it back by pretending you're an alchemist and "creating" (trading) the truegold to another buyer. Repeat until you finally get a proc from an alchemist for a free truegold... I guess?

On the OP's server you can buy mats for 650 whereas truegold sells for more I'd assume.

Indeed. Usually people keep them for themselves. (I did myself back in wotlk atleast )

Another problem would be that (assuming your "customer" joins your party) will see, that you did not craft anyting, get behind that trick you use and instantly spread that pieco of information. Nevertheless, the idea itself is nice :>

If its really a huge problem you could buy some mats for the default items you create when you pick up a profession (Assuming your not dual gathering prof's) and just create them.. Would only cost like 5s, just be in a party with a friend and say 'Sorry, in random hc que, just meet at **** AH' +Rep to OP for a great idea.

Great thing yes....however i know many might be like me. I invite said alchemist to group....i give said alchemist mats...i watch him transmute because whether i get 1 or 3....my mats, my chance at proc, my tip....my true-gold bars. People have been reported for not giving proc's and we had a member in my guild get a 48 hour ban from blizzard so do becareful. Though i do like your look on this little business venture.
