Embersilk farm - phased area in Uldum w/ 76k hp elites

The quest we will be looking for is called Schnottz so fast, it is part of a long chain in Uldum involving Harrison Jones. When you arrive at the phased area in order to kill your 10 Schnottz Elite Trooper, simply abandon the quest and begin killing them like mad. You need to abandon the quest because upon your 10th kill you will immediatly go to a cutscene. After the cutscene the mobs are gone, and will be gone forever if you turn the quest in.

In this phased area, the mobs have only 76k hp, but still have the same drops as any level 85 elite humanoid.

Also, if you tag the non elites when you tag the elites, they will instantly die and you will get loot from them as well. This site also works with the potion of treasure hunting, although that potion just drives me nuts. Happy farming!

I know there is a thread already about farming schnottz guys, but this is totally different. It involves only elites w/ 33% of their health as well as them being in a totally different and phased area.

So I grinded my way through the quest chains just to test this out, lol
and as a ~10k dps, Hunter

This is what I'v gotten from 10 minutes of farming.
-33g looting
-24 Embersilk Cloth (8g per in AH) [Emerald Dream A]
-14g in greys
-2 boe greens (vendors for 17g total, 80g from disenchanting mats)

-------=:Total:= 256g Vendoring the greens, 319g DEing greens
Multiply it by 6, and you get a grand total of... (10 minutes x 6 = an hour)

256x6 = 1536g / hour (vendoring the green drops)
319x6 = 1914g / hour (DEing the green drops)

EDIT: Im an idiot, I hardly read that. The above is ONLY from elites. I didnt realize you could loot the nonelites too =/

went through the chains as well to get to the quest confirmed working!

I did a 30 min test and the total of all drops was about 420G, Wildhammer EU.
These guys spawn fast enough that you keep killing the same 4 or 5 over and over. Nice find, thanks.

Meh, this guide isnt that good, depends on server prices, and you dont really get alot from it anyway, but good if you have no proffs
