Vial of Poison - Questing from 80 to 85

1.0 Requirements

The amount of Vials/Recipes is yet to be determined to the exact decimal because XP required to level has not been released yet but when it does I will re-do the math on this guide. For a estimation this guide we are going to use 5,000,000 XP required average over the 5 levels. That is probably overshooting it a bit because wrath it was about 1,700,000 to do 79 – 80 but this is worse case example.

The main focus of this guide is Vial of Poison’s, Waterlogged Recipe’s. These items give XP of a normal lvl 80 quest but are repeatable. Vial’s of Poison are by far cheapest because they give no reward other than XP and 7g. Vial’s fetch a price between 15g to 50g depending on server, with an average price of 33g 50s. These are only obtained from the fishing daily in Dalaran. There are 5 of these quests but you only get 1 per day. They take little over 5m to complete with high enough skill. While fishing you have chance to get various rewards like 100g in grey trash, epic gems, rare fishing rods, pets, and other gimmick items. The Waterlogged Recipe is obtained in the exact same manor, but it has a lower chance to drop. This item fetches a price at about 100g to 500g, are unstable and you could find some at 100g 1 day 500g the next, this item is suggested not to buy unless Vial of Poison is rare on your server. These items give you 5 Dalaran Cooking Tokens which you can use to buy recipes and a chef hat.

This way to get XP WILL cost a lot of money and blizzard may nerf this before cataclysm hits like they did with Damaged Necklace awhile make. But I highly doubt they will nerf Vial of Psion because that’s the sole use of the item. When using this it is recommended you do the fishing dailies yourself because that will increase your chance at more, also spam trade for items. Farming auction house will not get you enough before cataclysm. Spamming trade will also alert fisherman that you want to buy them before they use it themselves. Talk to your guild about it and talk to trade about C.O.D. ing them to a bank alt. (Recommended to make sorting them out easier, also don’t use accents in your name, 50% of wow players can’t do those accents) There are many add-ons out there that can spam trade at certain intervals while you AFK and other add-ons that will snatch those items off AH if below a certain price.

130 - 175 50 x Curiously Tasty Omelet - 50 Raptor Egg
175 - 225 50 x Roast Raptor- 50Raptor Flesh
225 - 250 25 x Moneter Omelet- 25 Giant Egg
250 - 285 40 xJuicy Bear Burger] - 40 Bear Flank
285 - 300 15 x Smoked Desert Dumplings - 15 Sandworm Meat

(XPperLevel x 5 / RewardXP) x (CostPerItem -RewardGold) = Y
(5,000,000 x 5 / 22050) x (X – 7g) = Y
(25,000,000 / 22050) x (X – 7g) = Y
1134 x (X -7g) = Y

X = Price
Y = Total Cost
1134 is how many you may need.

2.2 Vial XP + 25 Quests

Recommended You saved up 25 group quests.

[25,000,000 – (Y x 25)] / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
[25,000,000 – (27,550 x 25)] / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
(25,000,000 - 688750) / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
24,311,250 / 22050 x (X -7g) = Z
1103 x (X – 7g) = Z

1103 = Vials Needed
X = Vial Price
Y = Group Quest XP
Z = Total Cost
Waterlogged Recipes grant same amount of XP as Vials but I am very concerned they may get nerfed like Damaged Necklace so unless you feel confident or stumble upon a few pick them up and save them, who knows if they get nerfed. If you get an average price of 33g per vial and 7g reward it will cost 25kg+ to get all those vials, which now is a decently high number.
I recommend you use a auto-it system like that special keyboard or an auto complete quest macro, 1 problem I see is you have to accept the quest over and over again to hand it in! So it may take 4 hours of hand inn’s but you will probably be realm first, also for the first level you can wear the heirlooms to decrease the amount of vials needed by even more, the heirlooms only stop working whence lvl 81+.

2.3 Vial XP + 25 Quests + Heirloom at 80

[(5,000,000 x .80) + (5,000,000 x 4) – {27,550 x 25}] / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
[[4,000,000 + 20,000,000 – (27,550 x 25)] / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
[(24,000,000 – (27,550 x 25)] / 22050 x (X -7g) = Z
(23311250 / 22050 x (X – 7g) = Z
1058 x (X – 7g) = Z

1058 = Vials Needed
Z = Total Cost
X = Item Cost
(Side note: It will take 12980 days to farm all those vials by yourself from fishing daily, or 35 years.)
