Small Q&A
Q:What is this guide about ?
A: It is a detailed guide that will help you upgrade your Dungeon 1 set , as fast as possible withoughtspending time searching all around wowhead.

Q:Why should i farm this bounch of trash?
A:Since it is gonna be removed in Cataclysm , keeping a set like this will increase you epeen by loads.There is no other reason ,apart from show-offing, to farm this gear.

Q:Where can i find Dungeon 1 set so i can upgrate it?
A:It is pretty easy to farm it, at level 60 dungeons, such as Shcolomance , Stratholme , UBRS.

REQUIREMENTS
I recomend you to buy/farm all the stuff before you start so you will avoid alot big and boring flights during the questline.An engineering mailbox will help you alot.
Also you have to know that is pretty painful questline might cost you several hours , mostly because you have to travel all around the world, if you are mage will be by far better.

( 24x Dark Iron Ore - Item - World of Warcraft for 3 bars, Smelting Dark Iron can only be done at the Black Forge in Blackrock Depths.)

(6x Felcloth - Item - World of Warcraft to craft 3 mooncloths , can be crafted by tailors in every Moonwell , vendor recipe )

The Questline

So First step after you 've done with dungeon 1 set farming is to head :
Alliance : To ironforge , Deliana - NPC - World of Warcraft
Horde : Orgrimmar , Mokvar - NPC - World of Warcraft
These are the tow npcs that will start your questline.

Part No1

Quest - 1 - "An Earnest Proposition"
At this part you will Change the dungeon 1 bracers to Dungeon 2 ones.
What to do.
Considering you already got 20 gold and the bracers
Horde players
Head to Silithus and kill some Spiders /Scorpions
drop rate might look low but it isn't you i'll get your Venom Samples in no time.There is not a specific location you can farm them they are basicaly all around Silithus , i had
better luck in the north-west part ,

Alliance Players
Head to Winterspring , might be little faster as Alliance , basicaly go to the very northen part of winterspring and kill some Frostsabers.Don't forget to buy
Fel Elemental Rod - Item - World of Warcraft , while you are still in winterspring from the npc Vi'el - NPC - World of Warcraft you 'll need it later

Part No2

Belt and gloves are going to be upgrated at this part
"A Supernatural Device"
Basicaly after you turn the previus quest, you faction quest giver will start a new chain , will ask you to deliver a Container to a goblin NPC in Tanaris named :
Mux Manascrambler - NPC - World of Warcraft quest chain below is common to both factions.

Quest - 1 - The Ectoplasmic Distiller - Quest - World of Warcraft

Also its importand that you'll need at least neutral reputation with Gadgetgan , Sorry fellow Bloodsail Admirals.
For this part ,Items you will need
1x [Delicate Arcanite Converter]
4x [Greater Eternal Essence]
10x [Stonescale Oil]
80gold
Quest item you'll need to farm
25x Volcanic Ash - Item - World of Warcraft
You can get those in Burning Steppes by the lava rivers , Volcanic Ash - Object - World of Warcraft contains them and you might get 1-3 from a single loot.
After you gather 25 ashes head back to the goblin NPC in Tanaris and pick up the next quest

Quest - 2 - Hunting for Ectoplasm - Quest - World of Warcraft
The previous quest gives you a bag that contains 8x Goblin Rocket Fuel - Item - World of Warcraft That you 'll need for this quest , if you accidently lost them engineers can craft
them or you can find them from the Auction House.
So how this quest will work.
You i'll Have to gather 12 Scorched/Frozen/Stable Ectoplasm
First head to Silithus
Go to the area where Tortured Sentinel - NPC - World of Warcraft are , Find a place where many ghost druids are close to eachother and use
Ectoplasmic Distiller - Item - World of Warcraft , each time you use one will spend one Rocket Fuel so try not to waste them , Basicaly kite all the mobs near the Distiller and kill

them , they will drop the quest items you need , the Distiller will stay up for about 3 miniuts so you'll have plenty of time to kite some mobs near it.
Do the same in Winterspring with this mobs Frozen Ectoplasm - Item - World of Warcraft
and in Eastern Plaguelands with this mobs Stable Ectoplasm - Item - World of Warcraft
Probably you 'll get about 3-4 Rocket fuels before turning the quest dont forget to show off in a capital town.
Horde players or alliance that forgot on previous part buy Fel Elemental Rod - Item - World of Warcraft
you 'll have the chanse to get it now from Vi'el - NPC - World of Warcraft

Quest - 3 - A Portable Power Source - Quest - World of Warcraft
Pick up next quest , head to Burning Steppes
Kill Magma Lord Bokk - NPC - World of Warcraft , its non elite mob, loot it and head back to Tanaris

Quest - 4 - A Shifty Merchant - Quest - World of Warcraft
Just talk to npc again and give him the Fel Elemental Rod - Item - World of Warcraft that you should have already bought while you where in winterspring.

Quest - 5 -
Horde players head back to orgrimmar
Alliance players back to Ironforge
Congratz this completes part two, and you will receive your dungeon set 2 belt and gloves

Part No3

Pants, shoulders and boots are next to be upgraded,
Before heading to Startholme pick up with you
3x Dark Iron Bars
20x Enchanted Leather
3x Mooncloth
4x Cured Rugged Hide
4x Dark Rune
8x Large Brilliant Shard

Quest - 1 - In Search of Anthion - Quest - World of Warcraft
Anthion Harmon - NPC - World of Warcraft is a hidden ghost npc right outside of Stratholme's main entrance , to see it you must use your provided item Extra-Dimensional

Ghost Reveale, he will start a new chain for you.

Quest - 2 - Dead Man's Plea - Quest - World of Warcraft
Basicaly you must do successfuly timed run in Stratholme, you should be familiar with the istance after Dungeon 1 farming , it wont take you more than 15 min to kill Baron

and speak to Ysida Harmon - NPC - World of Warcraft.
Quest reward aint got any use on upcoming quests so feel free to delete them.

Quest - 3 - Ysida Harmon - NPC - World of Warcraft. is going to give you a new quest , all you have to do is to delive her amulet back to her father outside of Stratholme ,

don't forget to use Extra-Dimensional Ghost Reveale if its duration expired.

Quest - 4 - Anthion's Strange Request - Quest - World of Warcraft
Speak again to Anthion and give him the mats you already had in your backpack
3x Dark Iron Bars
20x Enchanted Leather
3x Mooncloth
4x Cured Rugged Hide

Quest - 5 - Anthion's Old Friend - Quest - World of Warcraft
Starts a new chain that will take place in Dire Maul North mostly
Considering you already have key to North DM , head to Night elf library and return the quest to Falrin Treeshaper - NPC - World of Warcraft , avoid to kill any Orge cause you 'll

need them for the next quest.

Quest - 6 - Falrin's Vendetta - Quest - World of Warcraft
Basicaly cross the tunnel again and kill all the orges around yard, if after one clear you dont get 25 Ogre Warbeads - Item - World of Warcraft get out and reset , for me it took

1,5 room clears. Note that you can get those quest items from Orges outside or those in BRS but it is waste of time.

Quest - 7 - The Instigator's Enchantment - Quest - World of Warcraft
Head to western part of dire maul , note that you dont have to exit istance and go straight to the place with many Eldreths , they are on the room left to

Tendris Warpwood - NPC - World of Warcraft. I got the quest item killing about 10~ Undead creatures
When you finnaly get it go back to Falrin give him the
4x Dark Rune
8x Large Brilliant Shard
that you already had in your backpack and pick up next quest

Quest - 8 - The Challenge - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go straight to Blackrock Depths , head to the Ring of Low where High Justice Grimstone - NPC - World of Warcraft is
use the banner that was provided, few waves of mobs will start and then a arena team will come , you can easily beat them as level 80 , don't forget to look the Dawrf pala

so you can get the first part of Valthalak's armor.When you are done go back to Stratholme's entrance and speak with Anthion again , re-use the Extra-Dimensional Ghost

Reveale ofcourse to see him.

Quest - 9 - Parting words - Wowhead Search
Head back to the Orgrimmar / Ironforge and get you brand new shiny Dungeon 2 parts
Bravo! , you just upgrated Boots Pants and Shoulders.Before you go back to a capital buy a Hallowed Brazier - Item - World of Warcraft from

Quartermaster Miranda Breechlock - NPC - World of Warcraft in Light's Hope Chapel , you 'll need it in the next quest line.

Part No4

Mabye the Hardest/most boring part and ofcourse the last , at this part you will upgrate helm and chest.

Make your way to Blackrock Mountain, at the balcony right outside of the Blackrock Spire entrance there is a gnome npc , hidden unless you use Extra-Dimensional Ghost

Reveale, he will start the last quest chain for you.

Quest - 2 - Three Kings of Flame - Quest - World of Warcraft
Probably the most boring part of the whole quest line.You must kill 3 diffrent fire elementals in diffrent places
First : Kill Pyroguard Emberseer - NPC - World of Warcraft the first boss of UBRS , you should be familiar with him after Dungeon 1 set farming.Nothing special kill and

Second :Kill Lord Incendius - NPC - World of Warcraft is the fire elemental boss in the middle of BRD, might be little confusing to find if you 've never done this istance before.
Last and unfortunatly least is The Duke of Cynders - NPC - World of Warcraft that needs to be summoned.
Before going to silithus DO NOT forget to check the Auction House for
Signet of Beckoning: Fire - Item - World of Warcraft,
Twilight Trappings - Item Set - World of Warcraft
if you found these items its great and will save you from alot of time, If you found just the Signet it is still good.
Also pick up 1 Large Brilliant Shard - Item - World of Warcraft from those you already had.
Now that you got the items you need go to Cenarion Hold and pick up this quest Aurel Goldleaf - Quest - World of Warcraft you'll need friendly reputation with Cenarion Hold
Speak to the npc near the quest giver named Aurel Goldleaf - NPC - World of Warcraft and get the quest Dukes of the Council - Quest - World of Warcraft that will make you change the

Abyssal Crests and the Brilliand Shard into a Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station - Item - World of Warcraft
Considering that you have full Twilight Trappings - Item Set - World of Warcraft and Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station - Item - World of Warcraft
Head to the Twillight Cultulist camps , look this map Twilight Geolord - NPC - World of Warcraft.
There you will find a Lesser/Normal/Greater Wind stones.Clear the mobs around a Normal wind stone Wind Stone - Object - World of Warcraft , wear full set + Neck from

the quest , make sure you got Fire Signet in your backpack and click the stone , you have time to change back to your original gear but you wont realy need it

The Duke of Cynders - NPC - World of Warcraft got just 12k hp so it won't be a problem.Loot him and you 'll get your last item.
Now the "Unlucky's Version" Note the the Following text is written by Lieandra thats why its in Quote.

You must summon this NPC.

Random Chance Version:

1. Kill surrounding mobs at the above locations (You may grind one area).

2. Collect the following items: Twilight Cultist Mantle, Twilight Cultist Cowl, and Twilight Cultist Robe; to create and wear Twilight Trappings.

3. While wearing the Twilight Trappings. Go to and right click a Lesser Wind Stone within the above locations. You will now be able to respond via click choice on the quest

pop-up page.

4. Responding to the pop-up, will summon an Azure Templar, or Crimson Templar, or Earthen Templar, or Hoary Templar. Kill the Templar and collect the Abyssal Crest.

5. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 a total of three times in order to have three Abyssal Crest.

6. Once you have three Abyssal Crest. You will need one Large Brilliant Shard.

7. With the four items in bag. Go to, accept, and complete the quest Medallion of Station from Aurel Goldleaf in Cenarion Hold. She will give you a Twilight Cultist Medallion of

Station.

8. Again collect and wear a set of Twilight Trappings. Also wear the Twilight Cultist Medallion of Station; and go to, and right click a Wind Stone. Similar to step 4. This stone

will summon The Duke of Shards, or The Duke of Zephyrs, or The Duke of Fathoms, or this The Duke of Cynders.

9. There is a 25% chance each time you summon in this manner to attain The Duke of Cynders. So yes, you can have the same unwanted duke spawn several times. Each

time you attempt in this manner, you will have to repeat the eight steps above.

I am not gonna add a guide on How-to get Fire Signet since it will take you more than 1day.

Quest - 3 -
Returning Three Kings of Fire will lead you to a quest chain with class specific quest

For Druid and Warlock
Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to winterspring and kill Frostmaul elite mobs. (Starbreeze Village Relic - Item - World of Warcraft) it might take you up to 20 kills to get one.

For Paladin , Priest and Shaman
Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Purgation Isle in Hillsbrad Foothills , the snail-like island. Kill all the elites there they should give you the quest item before you clear it all
(Soul Ashes of the Banished - Item - World of Warcraft)

For Warrior and Mage
Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Silithus and kill the Hive'Regal mobs, they are not elite but the quest item drop rate is sightly lower
(Druidical Remains - Item - World of Warcraft)

For Hunter and Rogue
Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Tyrs Hand in Eastern Plaguelands, kill few Scarlet Praetorian - NPC - World of Warcraft and you will the the sword in no time.

Return the quest back to Bodley he will give you one more round with class quests.

Quest - 4 -

For Druid and Warlock
The Left Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Dire Maul East go kill Alzzin the Wildshaper - NPC - World of Warcraft , after you get rid of him use the brazzier that is provided to summon

Isalien - NPC - World of Warcraft. After you Kill her dont forget to loot the left piece of amulet.

For Paladin , Priest and Shaman
The Left Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Scholomance , Clear your way to Ras Frostwhisper - NPC - World of Warcraft , kill him too , and summon with the Brazzier that is provided

Kormok - NPC - World of Warcraft, dont forget to loot the left piece of amulet.

For Warrior and Mage
The Left Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet - Quest - World of Warcraft
Clear your path into Lower Blackrock Spire up to War Master Voone - NPC - World of Warcraft, kill him and summon at his room with the Brazzier that is provided
Mor Grayhoof - NPC - World of Warcraft , dont forget to loot the left piece of amulet.

For Hunter and Rogue
The Left Piece of Lord Valthalak's Amulet - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go to Stratholme Living side clear you way up to Mor Grayhoof - NPC - World of Warcraft, after you kill him summon the
Jarien - NPC - World of Warcraft and Sothos - NPC - World of Warcraft , dont forget to loot the left piece of amulet.

Back to the gnome Bodley for a common for all classes quest

I See Alcaz Island In Your Future... - Quest - World of Warcraft
Fly to Dustwallow Marsh at Alcaz Island , kill some Strashaz nagas , they have chanse to drop more than one Bloodkelp - Item - World of Warcraft
Back to Bodley for the last class specific quests that they are the same as the Quest - 3 - class quests.

Quest - 6 -
For Druid , Paladin and Shaman
More Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft
Do the same as Quest - 3 - Warrior and Mage part.

For Priest and Warlock
More Components of Importance - Quest - World of Warcraft

Final Preparations - Quest - World of Warcraft
Find some time to visit a town to pick up Flask of Supreme Power - Item - World of Warcraft if you dont have it already in your Backpack.
At this part , witch is common to all classes you must visit Upper Blackrock spire and kill Blackhand members there, generaly kill trash, drop rate is pretty good , you will be

able to get all 40 bracers you need at once.

Quest - 9 -
Mea Culpa, Lord Valthalak - Quest - World of Warcraft
Pretty hard to solo since Lord Valthalak's adds will stun you permantly until he will kill you so picking a friend is almost a must , ofcourse it is soloable if you are keen to waste

couple of times trying.To summon him go to UBRS , kill The Beast - NPC - World of Warcraft , and summon him with the Brazzier.
After he is down his spirit will become the npc that you will return the quest

Quest - 10 -
Return to Bodley - Quest - World of Warcraft
Go back to Bogley , our lovely gnom

He will send you back to the begining Orgrimmar or Ironforge.
You just won a full Dungeon 2 set.
You deserve a /clap irl now

This guide is written fully by me. It is on the first version at the momment,the next hours i will add pictures and more colours "yey",I am realy sorry if the wall text it crits

your eyes for over nine thousand , i dont have much time right now but i will fix it and i'll make it easy to read.

dungeon set 1 drops in Inis like Strat, Scholo, LBRS and UBRS.
