    ZG Spider Boss Mar'li

    Here's some info on the Mar'li, the spider boss in ZG

    -Room Mobs-
    The room that the spider boss Mar'li is infested with spiders and troll Shadowcasters. The simpilest way to handle these guys in my experience is to keep the shadow casters sheeped until the end of the fight with the spiders. The spiders you AOE down and have all your single target DPS on the big red ones (Rogues, hunters, warriors, ect..). When the red spiders drop they spawn about 4 or 5 of the little spiders that you AOED before, so keep the AOEs going. The shadow casters are next and they have a nasty AOE shadowbolt attack. It is fired in a cone like fassion, so if a tank can keep it's back to the group they can DPS her easier and healers have less targets to worry about and heal (I'm a priest.. it helps!).

    -On the boss-
    We find it easier to fight only the spider boss Mar'li. She has a speaker with her , so we have the raid stay on the steps that lead into her room. We have a hunter go and kite the speaker back to the group on the ramp. This resets the boss bu tnot the speaker. We DPS the speaker and kill Mar'li's spawns that came.

    Now that it is just you and Mar'li, you need to designate a main tank and an off tank. Having another tank is good incase one of your tanks drop and they need to take over. If you only have 2 tanks, be sure to soul stone them and have battle resses ready just in case. Find your best rogue who has the highest DPS and have him attack Mar'li at ALL times. He needs to stay up! The rest of your DPSers need to keep an eye for spawns in the group. Everyone who is not the tank on Mar'li or the lead rogue needs to DPS the spiders down. These spiders grow in size and can do massive damage when fully grown.

    Mar'li has 2 forms she changes into back and forth, Spider and troll. In spider form she will web everyone around her, wipe her aggro list and attack the group(All DPS needs to stop when she does this!). You need to have the raid very close together and at least 40 yards away. (This is the maximum of most spells) When she webs the tank and the main rouge, you need to have your back up warrior standing there between the group, and the main tank. He needs to be there so he can taunt quickly and get them away from the group. He brings the spider back up to where the main tank is and when the main tank is free he runs back to the spot where the back up warrior was and waits for his turn to pick her up when she webs again. She does a massive AOE posion effect that only extends 30 yards.

    In troll form she likes to drain the lives of her enemies. You can notice it when she is shooting a green ray out of her hands. This heals roughly 2% a second. Draining her mana does not stop her from being able to heal. All melee DPS needs to be on her in this form. She is easier to hurt, and you also need everyone who can interupt spells on her. She still does her AOE poison though, so be careful.

    this is an endurance fight. It can take 15 minutes at times to do. Just be sure to have your mana tides, inervates, trinkets, and potions ready.
