    PvP Gearing!

So, when you hit 80, some players want to PvP. Maybe they are into world Pvp or just owning players in Battlegrounds. Whatever you want, you are going to need gear if you want to not die in 2 seconds constantly.

Here are some things I see that are quite disappointing,

1: Players wearing furious or relentless shoulders. For 40 Wintergrasp marks, you can get
Titan-Forged Shoulders of Triumph - Item - World of Warcraft.

Titan forged shoulders are available for all classes and for certain classes can be caster or melee. (Like Holy paladin or Retribution Paladin) They are the equivalent of relentless shoulders and you don't have to waste your honor on the other shoulders. Instead, you can buy another piece.

You only need 4 pieces of gladiator gear to get the bonuses, the most important piece would be the hands, for warriors they improve hamstring, death knights get an improved chains of ice, etc...

    Stone Keeper Shards

Unless you are saving these bad boys for a Mammoth or BoA gear, USE THEM FOR HONOR! 30 of these = 2k honor. If you don't like to grind out battlegrounds all day, grind heroics when you have Essence of Wintergrasp and get a ton of shards to use for honor. If there is a tank willing to bring dps along for random runs, or a guildie, JOIN THEM! You can use those emblems to buy furious gear and use your honor for offset gear.

    Trinkets

While having PvE trinkets is nice, if you are in a bind Battlemasters Trinkets go for about 34,100 honor they can buff any stat you are currently needing, and they all have bonuses on use which can be useful in tight situations.

    Prioritize!
This means, if you have some really good stat PvE gear, replace that LAST! Get as many needed pieces as you can 1st, especially for caster classes, you will want to do a lot of damage so keep any good PvE piece you have and replace your offsets last.

Call to Arms: The best way to farm honor is obviously on the weekend, join up call to arms bg's and you will rack in a lot of honor

    Arena Points:

These bad boys are gonna get you some relentless gear that will help you find an arena team. 1st friends or guildies are a serious asset. If you can get 4 other friends to make an arena team, do 10 matches (don't have to win) every week, you could have full relentless in about a month, you don't have to do good just do 10 matches before points are distributed on Tuesday.

Daily Battlegrounds, everyday this resets, all you have to do is either win a call to arms match, or a random battleground. If you don't do anything else pvp related that day at least do this, those arena points are going to help A TON later on.

    Wintergrasp

Even if your faction loses most Wintergrasps, these are still amazing opportunities to gain honor. If your faction wins, enjoy the ride, be near the action. If your faction does not and you have quite a bit of tenacity to the point where you know you can't win. FARM HONOR! And by that I mean, get your raid close together and just nuke the opposing team, you do so much extra damage and healing you will rack up the kills. As an Alliance player on a horde server, I earned 3-5k honor per Wintergrasp, and a WG mark. When we did premades and won, I had a lot of marks saved up.

The most basic defense strategy for Wintergrasp is this:
1st: Get your raid to stay in the fort, whisper anyone outside the fort to get their ass back. Defend the gate with Rp-gg's, Cannons, ranged anything etc... Once you have about 10 people with Corporal rank, send them south to take Eastpark and make Catapults, gradually add more people to the southern raiding crew. Once the enemy team has sieges LEAVE THE FORT! Push them on the road so that no harm comes to the fort. Keep this up, destroy the southern towers and enjoy your victory.

    ______________________________________________________________________________

For offense, have a small dedicated group stay south to defend towers, once you can make 8-12 sieges, stack them up at Broken Temple. Once you have those sieges attack here on the wall marked on this map.

Once you have done that, turn immediately to the right and attack that wall, not the wall with the archway, the one just south of that. Once those 2 walls are down feel free to create Demo's and Catapults, or another Siege Zerg and finish off that door.

    Addons

    Preform AV enabler

This helpful addon allows the leader to que your whole group and unque much easier for premades and such.

    Other
If you are horde, a good place to farm honor out of bg's and WG is the Stormwind Mage tower, the little portal makes it harder for players to see and focus healers and other players down giving the horde a distinct advantage.

Also remember to check sites like: Arena Junkies
    Tankspot

For information on how to play your class more efficiently, what gems and glyphs to get, strategies for arena's etc...

Nice Guide. *Basically* common sense, yet the WG strategy was nice +rep for effort.

Yeah it is a lot of common sense but I see a lot of players even hardcore pvp'ers who don't know that those shoulders are equivalent, which is awesome for someone trying to get geared for arena's.

And lord knows how many people don't understand basic WG strategies :P

There's a WG strategy? I thought it's just afking for 30 minutes =p (Main is ally and the allies in my server really outnumbers the horde side)

It was fairly painless getting the 40 marks. On my server Horde outnumbers Alliance at least 2:1 so we win every time and I do about 3-4 WGs a day

Yeah that's how it is on almost every server one side dominates.

But, if you get a premade together and follow basic strategy you can win. My old server was about 3:1 in favor of horde (I was Alliance) when we did premades we controlled the fort all day monday through tuesday

    Nice guide!

Just like to add the battle-masters aren't that worth it, the medallion is only worth getting if you need resilience badly, if not id say get the WG ones, its got the best of both of medallion and battle-masters. And also farm voa is a easy way just ask to do koralon also.
