    Cooking Pack

Well I know that most of the people here use MrFishIt or one of the fishing bots. And maybe half a year ago I thought of doing something I haven't seen anyone else do before me.

What I do is make a, "Cooking Pack". A pack of fish that gives the person or the buyer 1-420 cooking within maybe 30 minutes to an hour of cooking everything in the right order. The reason it only goes to 420 is because shortly after 420 you need to start cooking things via buying the recipes from the Dalaran Cooking Awards.

I generally follow this guide, as to what and where to fish:

Edit3: Seeing as someone had a problem with me using a guide as to what fish to collect and in what amounts, I'll make a guide that follows that with some changes.

    Fish to Catch:

-The first fish you want to catch are Brilliant Smallfish and Longjaw Mud Snapper, from what I've seen there's a higher drop rate for Brilliant Smallfish if you fish in Crystal Lake in Elwynn Forest. But there also seems to be a higher drop rate for the Longjaw Mud Snapper in the Canals of Stormwind.
-- The amount I suggest you fish is maybe 80-100 of each. Since with these two the person your selling to is expected to go up 50 Cooking Levels each.
--- So 100 Brilliant Smallfish and 100 Longjaw Mud Snappers

    - The next fish you should catch is the Bristle Whisker Catfish. I've had the best luck catching them in the stream that goes through the Hillsbrad Foothills.
-- I caught about 140 Bristle Whisker Catfish, since the person you sell it to is expected to go up 75 levels via cooking these.

    - The next Fish you need to catch is Mithril Head Trout, they can be fished in the stream or the pond the stream ends up going to in the Arathi Highlands.
-- The person you sell it to is expected to go up around 50 levels so I caught 100 yet again as some insurance.

    - Spotted Yellowtail comes next, I was told the best spot to fish- Or well the easiest was north of Raventusk Village in the Hinterlands. It's kinda slow, but if your hated by the Steamwheedle Cartel (IE: Goblins) then it's the next best thing.
-- The person you sell it to is supposed to go up 25 levels so I caught two stacks.

    - The next set of fish you need to catch can be caught in the same area, those fish would be: Raw Sunscale Salmon and Raw Whitescale Salmon. The guide I use says to fish in Darrowmere lake, but you can catch both in Lake Mereldar, in the Eastern Plaguelands and those are the two fish that normally drop there.
-- The person is supposed to go up about 75 levels, so I caught about 60 of each Raw Sunscale Salmon and Raw Whitescale Salmon.

    - The next set of fish you need are: Barbed Gill Trout, Spotted Feltail, and Zangarian Sporefish. You can catch Barbed Gill Trout and Spotted Feltail in the Blackwind Lake in Terrokkar Forest, and the Sporefish in Zangar Marsh.
-- With all these the person you sell to is expected to go up around 50 levels, so catch a stack or two of each.

    - The last bunch of fish go generally fast, but you need to catch: Bonescale Snapper and Fangtooth Herring. With those I have decent luck fishing pretty much anywhere. You don't need much, but I'd fish about two stacks of each to be safe.
-- With all of these the person is expected to go up around 25-30 levels so as I said, on the safe side catch 2 stacks of each. 1 stack of each if you personally think it'll be enough.

    - Now there you can stop, but if you feel like it you can fish some Nettlefish and some Glacial Salmon so they all they have to do are the Dalaran Cooking Dailies to get the Spices and Rhino Meat.

How much of each fish you should have and give:
    100 Brilliant Smallfish
    100 Longjaw Mud Snappers
    140 Bristle Whisker Catfish
    100 Mithril Head Trout
    40-60 Spotted Yellowtail
    60 Raw Sunscale Salmon
    60 Raw Whitescale Salmon.
    20-40 Barbed Gill Trout
    20-40 Spotted Feltail
    20-40 Zangarian Sporefish
    40-60 Fangtooth Herrings
    80-100 Bonescale Snappers

    And there you have it.

Anyway, I'm sure you guys get the picture.

I sold this pack on my old server for around 3k.

Hope it helps you guys make money.

Since it wasn't clear to the first poster:

This isn't a guide to get YOU 450 fishing or cooking, it's a helpful suggestion and a tip of something you can do to make a decent sum of money.

This is to help SOMEONE ELSE get to 420 Cooking with the mats that you fish with most likely the bot you use.

As I said, you can sell a pack like this for a decent amount because people are inherently lazy.

This isn't a guide because it doesn't specifically say what to fish and where, or what to cook at what cooking skill. Nothing about this post is original, so it's just advertising. Thanks for your effort to contribute, though. :\

With this guide, it's not to help you get to 450 cooking, or to help you get to 450 fishing- If you thought that then please read better and more thoroughly.

This is a helpful suggestion and what I use to make a cooking pack to sell to people to get them to 420 Cooking pretty easily.

Edit: I took the link down, and made my own rough guide.

to be honest what he did was fine, he linked to another site that complimented his guide and helped explain things - on that note I do think it's better that you in the end made your own list though

It's a tactic that has been around for quite a while (though I know most people haven't tried it because it can take a while to get enough raw materials at a cheap price) but it can be very profitable especially on large servers.

Well that's why I suggested the people who can fish, fish for the supplies. ;D

Yay! It looks much better now that it's an original guide written by you. It would be really cool if you could list exactly how much of each fish people will need in the pack to get to the appropriate level, so other people can sell those packs with a little guide on how those people can get to 420 cooking.

Even though it was under where to find the fish, I made a separate area for the amount of each fish you should have.

Yes, but this guide covers where to find those fish. I would love to see a guide that shows everything needed in both types of cooking packs, where they can be found, and what cooking levels they should be used at.

While both of those are very nice guides, neither explain where to find the fish.

Another suggestion for OP - Maybe you could integrate the meat packs as well. I would love to see a guide like this that included both types of packs, where to find each item, and what levels of cooking the items should be cooked at. Also, upon including those things, if you could also color format everything so it's much easier to read, that would also generate quite a bit of rep, I'm sure.

Also, you may not even have to fish all of this up if the Auction House has cheaper prices for all of this fish! So check the AH first. It might even be wise to monopolize these fish separately on the AH for more profit.

It would also be cool to see success stories of this working for people!
