Hello MMOwned, I've been playing a shaman for a while now and I thought I would post some help for some people that want to roll a shaman or just some tips and tricks. 1. Always have Rank 1 Earth Shock on your bar. Rank-1 Earth Shock will interrupt casting and cost significantly less mana.
2. Water>Food. You can heal, band-aid and even use a Healing totem. Therefore, water is more valuable to you then should be replaced with food.
3. Stoneclaw Totem is your friend. If you pull more then expected, DPS one target and then throw down your Stone Claw Totem. It’ll pull the other targets off and saving you from their damage, and allowing you to focus fire! Futhermore it has an effect that if hit, 50% chance to stun it’s target for 3 seconds. Its a lifesaver, however it won’t pull targets off you if your running away or stop DPS’ing your current target, as you have the most aggro.
4. Use rank 1 lighting bolt to pull targets that are hard to body pull, it saves you the hassle of killing unwanted adds.
5. Group/Elite quests are a pain, use your elementals! Your fire elemental is your DPS and your earth elemental is the Tank. These two can aid you doing outland quests that shamans normally couldn’t solo. You get them at 66 and 68.
6. Keep that shield up! Always, always, always keep Lightning Shield and Water Shield at useful in adding extra mana and DPS to targets. Make sure either one is up at all times. Lightning in general, Water when low on Mana.
Lastly, Totem quiests!
Earth Totem- Orc/Troll
1) Must be level 4 before getting your Earth Totem Quest
2) Grab the Call of Earth from Canaga Earthcaller at Valley of Trails (located near Shaman Trainer)
3) Head north to Cave at 45,56. The Felstalkers drop the 2 Hooves you need. Suggest doing this along with the Mining Pick and Medallion quests inside the cave as well.
4) Once done, go back to Valley of Trials and turn it in and accept Call of Earth part 2.
5) Head to the back and up the Hidden Path at 41,73 follow the trail till you get to the big Obelisk at 44,76. Drink the Sapta and turn in the Quest and accept the Call of Earth part 3.
6) Return to Canaga Earthcaller to gain your Earth Totem and Stoneskin totem.
Fire Totem
1) You must be level 10 before getting your Fire Totem Quest
2) You gain this quest from your trainers either in Thunderbluff, Bloodhoof Village, Razor Hill or Orgrimmar. Just head to location 55,60 where Kranal Fiss is located.
3) Turn in Call of Earth and accept part 2
4) Head to Durotar and follow the path along the river till you see flags. Follow that path along the upward spiral to Jelf Toolam at 36, 57. Turn in and accept part 3.
5) From this point. Head past Razor Hill, behind it and inside the cave at 51,26. All of the Burning Blade orcs have a chance to drop it and they are easy to solo. This is where you get the reagent pouch.
6) Head to crossroads or hearth. To get the firetar, I suggest doing ti along with your first kill Quillboar quest (if it drops before you’re done, finish the quest then continue to seven).
7) Head back to Telf Joolam and turn in part 3 and accept part 4.
Go past him and drink the sapta and then head towards where you see a lot of fire elementals, kill the one in the middle. Once done, go to the brazier and click it to turn in part 4, and accept part 5.
9) Head back to Kranal Fiss and turn in part 5 for Fire Totem and Searing Totem.
.
Air Totem
1) You must be 30 to accept this quest, and you get from any Shaman Trainer in Thunderbluff or Orgrimmar.
2) Fly to or Walk to Freewind Post.
3) From there head to 54,34 and turn in Call of Air and gain the Air Totem (That’s it, seriously).
Water Quest
1) You must be at least 20 to accept this quest. Accept the Call of Water quest from your trainers in either Thunderbluff or Orgrimmar.
2) Fly to Ratchet and head to 66,44 and speak with Islen Waterseer. Turn in and accept part 2.
3) Head back to Ratchet and Fly to Camp Taurajo (if you don’t have it, just hit the road and walk towards Southern Barrens and pick up the Flightpath along the way) From there, head to 43,77 and turn in part 2 to Brine and accept part 3. The water hole is literally 10 feet from Brine, down the hill to the North-West. Get the fill it and then head back and turn it into Brine and accept part 4.
4) Head back to Camp Taurajo and fly to Orgrimmar and Take the zeppelin outside to the East of the gates. Take the one to Tirisfal Glades.
5) Jump off the Zeppelin (pop a quick heal ( I suggest getting the Flight Path from Undercity while there) ) and use Ghost Wolf and head towards Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest.
6) In Sepulcher, head towards the well at 62,21 and collect the water. Go to the Inn and Bind your Hearthstone. From this point, reverse everything and head back to Brine.
7) Turn in part 4 and accept part 5 (This part requires heading to Ashenvale. You can do this now or wait till the 21-22 or 26-27 part of the guide, but the choice is up to you).
Make sure to get the Flight Path in Splintertree Outpost, and head to the Ruin of Stardust and use the water sack on the well at 33,67. From here, run to the Zoram Strand outpost and grab the Flight Path back to Camp Taurajo. Head back to Brine.
9) Turn in part 5 to Brine and accept part 6. And say your farewell to her
10) Head to Camp Taurajo and fly to Ratchet and head back to Islen Waterseer. Turn in part 6 and accept part 7. Hearth to Sepulcher.
11) You can either run around or you can wall jump, but you need to go directly west of sepulcher to get to the Water Obelisk at 38,44.
12) Drink the Sapta and kill the Corrupted Manifestation (kill with rockbiter, he is immune to others and frost shock). Look it’s bracer and use on the Brazier, enjoy the water works, then speak with Water Elemental that appears. Turn in part 7 and accept part 8
13) Go all the way back to Islen Waterseer by flying to Undercity, then flying from Orgrimmar to Ratchet. Turn in Part 8 and you gain the Water Totem and Healing Stream Totem. Congratulations, you completed the hardest totem quest!
