[Engineering] Money with Pets on 3.3.3

Ok so as every1 know , patch 3.3.3 is going to hit wow economy on hard heroic mode . . .

Lets get to the point :

Engineering

• The Pet Bombling and Lil' Smoky non-combat pets are no longer Bind-on-Pickup.

So you sure wanna do some of those to have on ur AH from now on =] But 1st , u have to get their recipes =]. Lets get started.

Pet Bombling

His schematic drops from Mekgineer Thermaplugg . . . YES, last boss in wow hell, i mean , gnomeregan. 9% chance . . . No clues here . . . just rush him sometimes and u will drop the schematic.

Mekgineer Thermaplugg - NPC - World of Warcraft.

BOTH ARE STILL BOP so they probally will only drop for engineers.

Mats

1x Big Iron Bomb
1x Fused Wiring (if i remmeber well, u get these from target dummies that blow up but u can craft them also i =p )
1x Heart of Fire (easily farmed at fire elementals located near fire ridge plume (center of un'goru )
6x Mithril Bar

If ur going to do this with AH mats, lets say u wanna do ur daily 5 pets for that little extra income, just buy:

1x Silver Bar
20x Heavy Stone (they are really cheap on most servers)
3x Delicate Copper Wire (made by low level Jewelcrafters with Copper Bars)
2x Essence of Fire
30x Mithril Bar
5x Heart of Fire
15x Iron Bar (a stack would be easier but . . . =p )

Them you:

-Craft 5 x Silver Contact from ur single Silver Bar.
-Make ur Heavy Stones into Heavy Blasting Powder.
-Create 5x Fused Wiring from ur 2x essence of fire + ur 3x Delicate Copper Wire.
-Craft ur Big Iron Bombs
-Craft ur Pet
-Profit on AH

Lil'smoky

The Schematic for this guy is a bit harder to get . . . it CAN drop from 2 mobs and 1 boss at gnomer at a 1-2% Rate. Those are:
Crowd Pummler 9-60 Crowd Pummeler 9-60 - NPC - World of Warcraft
Peacekeeper Security Suit Peacekeeper Security Suit - NPC - World of Warcraft
Arcane Nullifier X-21 Arcane Nullifier X-21 - NPC - World of Warcraft

What u should really do is kill any of these on your way for the last boss that drops Bombling schematic and if u feel like show ur face at our friend Crowd :] . U will get it . . . someday =]

Mats:

1x Core of Earth (some places to farm these are Dust Stormers and Silithus, Infernal Bodyguards at Fel Wood and Theradrim Shardling at Maraudon.)
2x Gyrochronatom
1x Fused Wiring
2x Mithril Bar
1x Truesilver Bar

Buying all from AH (making about 5 pets ), you should buy :

5x Core of earth
4x Gold Bars
5x Iron Bars
3x Delicate Copper Wire (made by low level Jewelcrafters with Copper Bars)
10x Mithril Bar
5x Truesilver Bar

Them you :

-Craft ur 3x Delicate Copper Wire + 2x Essence of fire into 5x Fused Wiring
-Craft ur Gold Bars into Gold Power Cores
-Craft ur Gold Power Cores + Iron Bars into Gyrochronatom
-Craft ur lil robot
-Profit twocents

I'm only making that AH mats section for those who cant find things like Gyrochronatom or Fused Wirings on AH and must Craft em . . . u Can buy them ready if u find em or something =].

Indeed those should sell easier at the 1st patch days since people will be making some of these to make some fast profit =] most people will buy those for reaching achievs =]

How much do you usualy sell them for?

We are currently at patch 3.3.2 and they cant be sold yet. What my guide sugests is you FARM theses 2 recipes from Gnomer before the patch Hits cus they are somewhat hard to drop. As you can see 9% from last boss on gnomer for the bomb and 1-2% from mobs on the lil dude. When the Patch hits if u own these u will probally be able to sell them easily for any prices , but i cant say how much they are worth right now ;]

I went in there and got both schematics off my first kills, you sure it isn't a 100% drop rate for engineers?

2. Do think Ive seen it arround a week ago, but can't find the thread.
3. Love the pets looks, want one myself
4. Think you will have to not overrate your prices or make many as many engineers will try this out. Think they will go for 300G ea perhaps.
5. I don't think the patterns have a instant drop rate nowadays even if you are engineer. Example: Patterns from MC don't have 100% drop rate either even if you are tailor. RNG% is still in play.

It may be pointing out that you shouldn't craft them till patch day as items that are bop stay bop sometimes.

Edit: So new ones from that point onward are boe, but old ones stay bop

My %s come from WoW Head =] i cant check it out by dropping it cus i got it while leveling my engineer rogue and i dont remember anymore if i got 2 in 1 run or something.

YES , dont overprice it or u wont sell anything and some1 will just grab ur market.

@enagic: you probally have a big profit when u sell one but u probally dont do it so often xD keep doing it and do some of these guys when the patch hits to test the income =p

I think the reason these are becoming no longer BoP is something to do with Gnomes taking the city back (as well as Trolls taking their island back from Zalazane) so people maybe can't get it anymore. My thoughts are that maybe the mobs in the city salvaged the recipes in the first place from the city so the gnomes may sell them to alliance when they get the city.
