    Fresh 80 protwarrior gear guide

Hello! I just recently leveld up a prot warrior and I decided to gear it up as fast as I could - I found that alot of the time spent was wasted on checking what items to get, where to get them from etc, so I decided to write down everything I wanted so I could just check my own document every time I wanted to find a dungeon I needed to complete, and now I decided to share it with you guys! I guess there's not alot of people out there currently in the leveling or gearing of a protwarrior, but I hope it can help some of you atleast.

The list is only from 5man instances (and one crafted item because the other items on that slot really sucked) Every item i did not write (Normal) after drops in heroic difficulty.

Head: Headplate of the Honorbound - 75 Triumph Badges
Headplate of the Honorbound - Item - World of Warcraft

Neck: Fossilized Ammonite Choker - Halls of Reflection (The Captain's Chest)
Fossilized Ammonite Choker - Item - World of Warcraft

Shard of the Crystal Forest - Item - World of Warcraft

Shoulders: Shoulderplates of Frozen Blood - Pit of Saron (Forgemaster Garfrost)
Shoulderplates of Frozen Blood - Item - World of Warcraft

Cloak: Wrathful Gladiator's Cloak of Victory - 52200 honor
Wrathful Gladiator's Cloak of Victory - Item - World of Warcraft
Cloak: Eerie Runeblade Polisher - Halls of reflection (Falric) (Normal)
Eerie Runeblade Polisher - Item - World of Warcraft

Chest: Icebound Bronze Cuirass - Pit of Saron (Scourgelord Tyrannus)
Icebound Bronze Cuirass - Item - World of Warcraft

    Bracers: Saronite Swordbreakers - Crafted
Saronite Swordbreakers - Item - World of Warcraft
Bracers: Bracers of the Herald - Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom (Herald Volazj)
Bracers of the Herald - Item - World of Warcraft

Weapon: Peacekeeper Blade - Chest from second ToC 5 boss
Peacekeeper Blade - Item - World of Warcraft

Shield: Splintered Door of the Citadel - Halls of Reflection (Marwyn) (Normal)
Splintered Door of the Citadel - Item - World of Warcraft

Gloves: Hellscream's Handguards of Conquest - 30 Triumph badges
Hellscream's Handguards of Conquest - Item - World of Warcraft

Belt: Titanium Links of Lore - Trash from ICC5 instances (normal)
Titanium Links of Lore - Item - World of Warcraft
Belt: Shieldwarder Girdle - 28 Conquest Badges
Shieldwarder Girdle - Item - World of Warcraft

Leggs: Hellscream's Legguards of Conquest - 50 Triumph badges
Hellscream's Legguards of Conquest - Item - World of Warcraft

Boots: Black Spire Sabatons - Forge of Souls (Devourer of souls)
Black Spire Sabatons - Item - World of Warcraft

Ring: Wrathful Gladiator's Band of Triumph - 52200 Honor
Wrathful Gladiator's Band of Triumph - Item - World of Warcraft
Ring: Clutch of Fortification - 35 Triumph Badges
Clutch of Fortification - Item - World of Warcraft

Trinket: The Black Heart - Trial of the champion (The black knight) (Normal)
The Black Heart - Item - World of Warcraft
Trinket: Essence of Gossamer - Azjol-Nerub (Hadronox)
Essence of Gossamer - Item - World of Warcraft

as 'Hi on helium' said, the items from ICC 5 instances have ag ear requirement to join, so start of with getting the other pieces. You probably want to start of with just random heroics for a few badges to buy a badge item with, I'd go with the two tierpieces first (hope you get Azjol and get the trinket from random hc) and pull of some wintergrasps in between for honor so you can buy the cloak and ring. Start doing normal / heroic toc + normal halls of reflection as soon as you can and you should have all the gear in notime, it took me about 4 days to get all of this!

small note: the ilvl 232 instances(hall of reflections, Pit of Saron, and Forge of Souls) have a gear requirement in order to que for them or be chosen for random instances.

All the heroics have gear requirements. It's quite frustrating when you ding 80 that you can't go heroics from scratch > It's not like it's "heroic". x)

Other than that, I think I'll be using this for my warrior +Rep mate.

Ive got 5.5K GS on my druid, and constantly get thrown in random heroics with people who have 3.8K GS. One of my last random tanks was a warrior in lvl 70 epics with 22K HP doing Pit..

At level 80, against a level 83 mob:
Single-wielding hit cap without Precision: 296 hit rating to remove the 9% miss rate.
Single-wielding hit cap with Precision: 197 hit rating to remove the 6% miss rate.
For expertise caps, assuming the cap is still a 6.5% dodge rate:
Without Weapon Mastery: 214 expertise rating to remove the 6.5% dodge rate (equal to 26 expertise skill)
With 2/2 Weapon Mastery: 148 expertise rating to remove the 4.5% dodge rate (equal to 18 expertise skill)

I had no idea - googied it!

It is a nice guide, but I did have to notice that it puts you 13 def over the raid def cap of 540. That means that you should be able to change some of those defense pieces for dps pieces.

Also, if you want to count in the resilience, you could drop a lot more.
