[Dalaran horde second inn]Loads dalaran faster

Hello mmowned, first post so be nice

because of my PC after hearthstoning to dalaran (The filty animal) it took ages for my models of other people to load ect. Then a came across Abohba - Assistant Innkeeper whos based up the stairs in the filty animal. I set this to my home and i noticed when i hearted everything loaded faster and was alot smoother. So i thought ill share it here

Post back your views and let me know if it worked for you.

Sounds like a little exploit to me. I wouldn't think this would go in the guide section but.. that's just me.

I dont think there is an exploit in bypassing loading? Anyways, can you point out on a map where it is?

Loading times when going to Dalaran are really dependant of your pc configuration.

When loading, the games takes into account and loads the following:

    - Location (map)
    - Players in range that can be seen (skins, textures, whatnot)
    - NPCs in range that can be seen (skins, textures, etc)
    - Decals
    - The current video quality settings (highres textures, lo-res textures, shadows, etc)
    - Addons (a high amount of addons will increase the loading time drastically)
    - Also, loading time is affected by lag and latency. If you're lagging/have a high latency, it takes more time for the client to get all the info needed to load the current map, so the whole process takes considerably longer.

If your machine is slow and the settings are too high for your pc, the load times are high. Things to do to avoid high load times:

    - Decrease video settings to suit your current PC configuration (most pc's can't run the game on Ultra settings, so biggest effect comes from decreasing Shadow, FSAA (multisampling) and texture resolution. If you're still having problems with that (10fps in Dalaran), decrease more, and disable more (Full Screen Glow Effect, Projected Textures, Specular Lighting, Enviroment Detail, Ground Clutter radius/density, Particle Density, Weather Intensity)
    - Disable some addons: Try and see how much memory your addons are using, if youre using more than 60 mb addon memory, you should lower them (disable some).

Good luck with your loading times!

First off: Congratulations on your first post, hopefully you will be active now. : )
And I would rather place this under wow general as it's just a general tip if people are having problems with loading Dalaran or any such (orgrimmar, stormwind, Ironforge etc).
Posting and helping is always nice, thank you for this.

Been using it since ever. It's deeper inside, thus less outside stuff is loaded during the load screen. It's only logical.

If you have the Beer goggles from brewfest you can equip them.

Goggles will turn every player in gnome (Alliance) or Orc (Horde - Im not sure if its really orc)

everyone will have same texture and this will make your loading time much faster.

    just my twocents
I'm accepting model edit requests - anything from simple model swaps to reskins and custom models! PM me

I hope there was sarcasm, cuz you aren't bypassing the loading, you are making it faster... problem is the client still has to load the rest of the zone after you get out of the inn so there should be small spikes depending on system(true that it can work faster if we follow op way).

Anyway, as other said this is not exploiting . I wonder if some of the users know that there are other forums than exploit/guides/model edits/programs sections.

I had same probs with my previous laptop,
I deleted my wtf folder once, put graphics to what they were
and lag was gone (that prolly only worked for me)
But yeah, changing spot could work.

Just put your graphics down a bit and you'll see the diff fast.

Do any of you actually know how a 3D engine works? You still load the city, no matter where you are in the building.

That's what I thought too, but it does speed it up. I have no idea how to explain it, but it does.
