How To Automatically sort and manage your bags when botting/farming!

NOTE--- this is NOT A MACRO THREAD. This is a thread on addons that are useful, how to apply them so i decided it should go in the wow guides section.
Okay, I don't know about you guys, but i am quite OCD when it comes to trying to find items in my bag. Needless to say, i tried many times just organizing it by dragging items around, trying to have specific bags for quests, greys, and other items and it just didn't work. So what i decided to do was look for a couple of macros to help with me, and it turns out there are 2 in general that i will be working with in this thread, and they will GREATLY help your bank become sorted, and your bag will easily become one fit for the ultimate OCD patient.




Step 1.

Go to curse, and download this addon Called "Bag sort"
Bag Sort - Addons - Curse

It has a command, to /bagsort your bags to perfection, and /banksort it also to perfection.



Step 2. Go get the addon "Auto Vendor"

AutoVendor - Addons - Curse

This addon will automatically vendor all the grays you have in your inventory any time you open up a vendor-able NPC, and it will automatically repair your armor! No more hassle when trying to get into a heroic, then realizing your armor will break within minutes!


Step 3. Get the addon "Bagnon"

Bagnon - Addons - Curse

It creates a one large bag frame, can be customized to be see through, different, colors, and also gives your bank a one big bag view. It is very very recommended by me.





Alright, now that you have the tools to manage and sort your bags, it is time to apply this to a macro.

First, we will need to figure out what your flying / regular mount name is, to the exact letter and capitalization.

Then, in World Of Warcraft type
/macro
then click "new" Choose your mount's icon picture, or just a random picture if you want.
Then click "Okay"
Then, in the command frame, copy and paste this
/use Crystallized Life
/use Crystallized Earth
/use Crystallized Shadow
/use Crystallized Air
/use Crystallized Fire
/use Crystallized Water
/bagsort
/cast xxxxxxx
^ Input your mount name here example, Swift Red Gryphon

If you are a deathknight you can add
/cast Path of Frost
/cast Unholy Presence

^ Unholy presence will make you fly / run 15-20% faster.


Now, Whenever you decide to bot or farm, your bags will now be managed in an easy to use customizable organized bag frame.

PS, I did this and it made it quite alot easier to manage leveling 1-80 manually.

Yep, I use all the above addons, very useful. Although when im botting I dont care what my bags look like

Haha me either captin, but it is very useful to have while managing all the botted supplies. And its quite nice to wake up in the morning and see a fully organized bag full of eternals, saronite, and maybe 2-3 stacks of titanium :P

I second the use of Bagnon. Excellent addon. You can also use it to see the banks and inventories of your other chars too without having to relog.

I'll have to take a look at the bag sorting addon. I always feel the need to sort my bags in such a way even though it doesn't matter/make much difference.

Bankstack and Combuctor together makes an unbreakable combo. You can search for items, you can sort them by rarity AND you can sort it plus like millions of other features.

OP: Good guide indeed. But as Elitetech said, Bankstack works better than banksort. IMO. ^^

I just got bankstack and it is quite a good addon, but personally i have grown use to using bagsort, but i will fiddle around with it and may replace it within the guide.
