Farming Frostweave + grays n' greens

Hey, i searched and found only this:

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...rostweave.html

Frostweave Cloth Farming Guide - MMOwned - World of Warcraft Exploits, Hacks, Bots and Guides

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-gu...sh-greens.html

None, of which is the same place as mine.

IF however this is a repost.. Provide a link and i will be deleting ASAP.

So anyways, after raiding and doing whatever im doing a wednesday night.
I found out i needed to do some farming for some frostweave as i was in need of the last 2 skills to 450 tailoring (Damn 3000 cloth needed from 375 - 450)

Well, as i knew the cloth would only drop from humanoids, i started looking for various places in northrend where i could easily kill the mobs AND have almost 0 downtime for respawn..

Turned out to be these guys:

Kvaldir Raider - NPC - World of Warcraft (Kvaldir Raider's)

The good thing about this spot is this..

    1. You got NO down time as the mobs keep sailing in.
    2. They got about 30% drop chance of 1-3 frostweave. And can drop even more if your tailor of course

Borean Tundra is the place to be. Right about here:

Okay, so these are the places the mobs will spawn / be:

Again, hope this aint a repost.

    Other then that, Happy farming

    *Edit*

Okay, so i did some calculations after about 1 hour of farming. Heres' what i got.

    1 hour of farming
    232 frostweave cloth
    12 grays
    2 greens
    Alot of trash drops

1 stack of frostweave = 5g on my server (alot of tailors sadly)
    11.6 stacks of frostweave * 5g = 58g

1 stack of Imbued frostweave = 300g on my server.
    1 infinite dust = 1.2g
    232 frostweave + 80 infinite dust = ~600g - 96g spent on infinite dust = 504g

Gold from selling greens / grays / trash = ~50g

Gold earned in total from 1 hour = ~554g

That was what i WOULD have earned, if it wasent because i needed the cloth for my tailoring

Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair!

Nice and detailed guide. Sure it is a very simple technique but it does bring i gold never the less, and we can see you have taken effort to put it together in a presentable fashion for us.

Perhaps you could go to this spot and maybe farm for 30 or 60 minutes and then report what drops you get.
such as how many greens, greys, and frostweave cloth you get as well as any other useful items that dropped.
Then come to a total of how much gold you made. For example after selling the cloth, DEing or selling the greens and vendoring the greys.
And then report your findings back in your post? Many people like to get as close a result as they can for a method before trying it themselves. I would but my WoW client became corrupted and have to wait until Friday to get a copy from my friend :/
    +6 rep from me.

Just tested this with a 68 DK. There is tons of down time as you have to go from spot to spot, and the kaluaks stop you from looting 50% of the time. I managed to find a spot where I can switch between 2 boats, killing 5-6 per boat, with minimal downtime. Averaged about 12-18 per minute.

I did this for 2 hours and this is what I got:
    90 Frostweave
130-ish gold from drops and vendor trash.
    2 levels.

So This is a good spot to grind 68-70 with rested experience with an aoe class, but not much else.

Maybe I was doing it wrong, or just had bad luck with loot.

Yeah, i forgot to add the fact that i am a tailor doing this..

Meaning instead of 1-3 frostweave per mob, i get 3-7 or so..

Also, true. It might not be the best idea to run off to kill the mobs at the camp at the bottom left of the picture.

As the guards will most likely have taken them down. And you will most likely not get any loot=/

This is great, got around 1000g so far while I'm watching the superbowl ^^ Especially effective as a blood DK, cause we have zero downtime. Thanks (:
