Hi there

Pet collecting has a been a thing of mine in wow ever since i obtained my first pet back in pre-tbc, i spent all my hard earned gold on a crimson whelp i'd had my eye on for months, i was broke and had no epic mount but i didnt care.

I loved my whelp and my priest is now sitting on around 84 pets irc anyway after seeing a half attempt at one of these threads i decided to make my own so lets get down to business.

For some of this guide you may have to improvise for say the vendor pets ie make a opposite faction dk and use the neutral ah with a friend.

All obtained from Gaily Wrapped Present under the winter tree on xmas day, the way i got all 4 was to logg in and loot with my alts and send to main as their boe, also a good money maker if you decided to keep and sell later in the year

Midsummer festival:

Scorchling,
Dropped by Lord Ahune in the Slave Pens, this guy can killed as many times as you want as someone in your group has a daily quest to summon him.

Spirit of Summer,
Sold for 350 Burning Blossoms by Midsummer Vendor, you get 10 blossoms per fire you put out around azeroth.

Haloween:

Sinister Squashling,
Obtained randomly from Treat Bag obtained from innkeepers during haloween event or a possible drop from the headless horseman in sm while doing daily quest to kill him.

Childrens week:

Curious Oracle Hatchling
Curious Wolvar Pup, 1 per year obtained through a quest line starting in dalaran.

Egbert
Peanut
Willy, 1 per year obtained through a quest line in shattrah, lower city.

Mr. Wiggles
Peanut
Speedy
Whiskers the Rat, 1 per year obtained through a quest line in either org or stormwind.

Fool for love:
Peddlefeet
Obtained from gift of adoration from city guards, quite rare, i never got one two year in a row

Noble garden:
Spring Rabbit
Sold for 100 Noblegarden Chocolate by Noblegarden Vendors
Or looted from brightly coloured eggs, which is just pure luck tbh.

Pilgrims week:
Plump Turkey

Obtained along with a title for completing all pilgrims week achieves, a few guides knocking around so ill not go into that.

Brewfest:
Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderm Obtained for 100 brewfest tokens
Wolpertinger, im not sure, i missed the event this year and last year it was bought from a vendor.

Azure Whelpling dropped by any blue dragonkin elite in azshara
Crimson Whelpling dropped by flamesnorting or crimson whelps in the wetlands.
Dark Whelpling dropped by scalding whelps in the badlands or searing whelps in dustwallow.
Emerald Whelpling dropped by adolescent or dreaming whelps in swamp of sorrows.

imo whelps are one of the harder pets to grind, it can drop from your first or you 5000 mob, its all random, ive spent many hours grinding each for nothing, yet had a azure drop on my second mob.

Phoenix Hatchling
Dropped by Kaelthas Sunstrider in Mgt, can be done on normal or hc, really nice pet, i havent been lucky enough to win one yet.

Sprite Darter Hatchling
Dropped by Sprite Darter in feralas for horde only, alliance have to do a questline to obtain, easy enough drop for horde, got 1 in about 30 kills.

Magical Crawdad
obtained through Mr. Pinchy through fishing in mixed highland schools in terrokar forest, pure luck again got it on my 2nd cast on my rogue, did about 400 on my priest.

Mojo
got by using hex sticks dropped by mobs on forest frogs in ZulAman
guide around here somewhere, took me about 4 hours to get solo with my druid.

Disgusting Oozeling
looted from Oozing Bags from 50-57 ooze & slime mobs, i find the cave in epl a nice place, never been lucky enough to get one though

Firefly
looted from Bogflare Needler in Zangarmarsh

Green Wing Macaw
looted from Defias Pirate in Deadmines

Hyacinth Macaw, made epic 2 patches ago
Dropped by bloodsail mobs in Stranglethorn Vale, i tried grinding this but ended up pvping with other farmers more, nice guide around here i think.


Giant Sewer Rat
obtained by fishing in Dalaran Underbelly
took me around 80 casts with my rogue, priests on about 2k and still hasnt got, just pure luck.

Black Tabby
Dropped by Dalaran Spellscribe in silverpine forest, hes a rare spawn that only horde can kill, so if you want one bad i suggest making a horde dk then using the neutral ah with a friend to get it to you.

basically got to westfall or brill, buy some chicken feed from the vendor there make a macro /chicken, spam the hell out of it to the nearest chicken, he gives youa quest when you get his attenion, feed him the feed and he lays a egg, loot egg for the pet

reputation pets/bought/achievement:

Kirintor familiar from higher learningachievement.
involves reading 8 books dotted around dalaran, all on a seperate timer with 4 to 5 hour spawn, best time to catch these books is straight after server reset but sometimes junk books spawn and youll have to camp a few like i did.

Obtained through cracked egg you get every 7 days through buying mysterious egg when revered with the oracles, i suggest buying these from ah, they go for very cheap due to the fact people are trying for the rare green proto drake mount.

Bought through the blizzard store for 9 pound, half the money goes to a kids charity.

same as the above but no money to charity, boooo :P

core hound pup.
obtained through linking an authenticator to your account, nice pet, good security, just annoying if you dc a lot.

perky pug
obtained through the new lfg system after you've grouped with 100 random people.

mailed to you once you complete the 50 pet achievement.

both obtained through boe world schematic drops, i mostly see the squirrel schematic in low instances but the toad one is pretty rare, can fetch a nice price on ah to the right buyer a sits pretty rare
