According to wowwiki and other sites it was patched out on 15/12/09 although some here state it hasn't been yet. Personally I haven't farmed em yesterday so I wouldn't know.

Managed to get 3 BoP epics, and now it's not possible to get it from the skeletons anymore Back to doing this instance as a group I guess..

wow yeah this was nerfed really bad the bad thing is that i never got one D: and i saw all my friends who logged in the day the patch hitted holdin one QD this really sucks

If it really drops from the skeletons, i suggest everyone that really wants to farm them to hurry up before the next weekly reset. I have a gut feeling that the skeletons will be rebuilt into mobs that don't really drop sh!t, instead of almost 1g each + greens or better.

Doesn't really bother me that they fixed it, because I can solo the elite casters on my DK pretty easily, so I'm going to keep on farming.

Linde, what spec are you and what's your strat?

+6 rep to anyone that has a warlock strat for soloing all of the mobs he mentioned

For single target (melee0
1. Go affliction and get curse of exhaustion
2. Dot
3. Run

For multiple targets (melee)
1. set up RoT
2. cast dot while rotating CoExhaustion to keep all target slowed
3. Teleport when mobs are close

For Multiple targets with 2 melee, 2 casters
1. Set up RoT
2. Rotation CoExhaustion on melee, out run range until melee are dead
3. Teleport if needed to range casters/melee

Skeleton pack with a caster
1. dot the skellies and run, they have 8k HP, should die in about 6-9 seconds
2. range caster and dots

Trials and errors on your first couple attempts but that's how I do it. This is the strat for Pits only.

Also, do not try to range casters too much, fine the Range of sight point and move out when he casts . Move back in to renew dots and cast SB so that he can stop to cast or else you'll run out of Range of sight very quickly.


Edit:

There is a rock by the gargoyles that you can make the skeleton dance in place if you on the opposite side of the rock strafing left and right if you have trouble kiting a melee or have some fun.
