We already knew it still drops, more important is what mob dropped it for you, was it a non-elite skeleton?

As a Resto Shaman the way i do it:
tag the Skeletons ( CL one pack then melee/shock the others ) and AoE then down with magma while grounding/Shocking and outhealing the elite, then run out and repeat. It is quite tough to do but if you get lucky it pays off.

I spent the last 3 days (not fully) trying to get the item, so far I've killed about 400-600 trash mobs in total (not just skeletons) and haven't seen a single epic drop. Now this obviously is bad luck but still, I'd guess the droprate to be between 0.1% and 0.5%, ofcourse I'm not sure Tomorrow more farming to do

Edit: Btw, I did get about 200 gold from drops, not counting the grey items. And after sending the greens to my alt I got 200 Infinite Dust and 25 Greater Planar Essences from it,, so it seems like a nice way to earn money while farming for a specific item.

Very easy way for disc priests to do this. Mount up and run close to the groups so they aggro, now run back towards the portal. Pop cd's if you need to and just spam holy nova to kill the skeletons, been doing this with NO problem at all. And just through the portal once the skele's are dead. Come back in and loot.

anyone know a good way for dk's to farm? I tried on my unholy dk. what i do is run in buff up. Pop army let them get agrro then aoe the skele's out loot and run.. but 70% of the time i die due to the leet.

Go with another char after the 5runs then after 5runs with him log on the main char and do it on him ? Or maybe you dont have 2 chars, then you need to wait =)

Actually, I'm pretty sure the instance limit is account-wide, so you can't run in with another character, either. It will work if you have 2 accounts, though.
