Battered Hilt solo farm.

IDD I found it to be a good place for farming greens. quickly fills your bags and lots of cloths too. might be viable as a way to farm for gold if the greens are dissenchanted but with the new dissenchant loot system prices has dropped alot.

Linde, what spec are you and what's your strat?

+6 rep to anyone that has a warlock strat for soloing all of the mobs he mentioned

For the 8k skellies + caster I start of with Curse of Tongues on the caster + corruption and I send my felhunter on it to lock out his shadowbolt cast (If you don't put corruption on it the mob will switch to felhunter and kill it) followed by strafing towards the entrance while putting corruption on all the skeletons, when they are all dead my felhunter's silence is off cooldown so I use that to get into fear range and fear the mob, from that point on it's just keeping up your 3 dots + Curse of Tongues (to prevent having to stop casting shadowbolt halfway) and just continuously fear the mob when he's out of it. Basically I just cast shadowbolt and start casting fear straight after cause it's almost a guaranteed breakout of the fear.

Elite skeletons just Curse of Exhaustion on it and run around, when he gets somewhat close I use Shadowflame (got it glyphed, it's my pvp affliction spec) to slow it down by alot and get a haunt/UA cast off without getting too close.

Still working on the other pack 15 clears now, no epic, I'm starting to think they did indeed remove the Hilt from non-elite skeletons but not sure yet, will have to keep on farming

EDIT: Managed to solo the pack of 4 elites aswell Next up, proto drake mobs and mobs @ the 'Ick' boss.

I've been doing it as Prot and as Ret pally, it's much easier with Ret to repentence the caster and run with the skellies to the entrance, down them and exit, rinse, repeat, can get 4 of the packs before I have to reset. I did get an epic drop, but not the hilt yet.

Further edit: After 3 groups epic dagger dropped, alot of greenies + greys, this seem worth it, also in my pvp frost specc the big skeletons are soloable.

Good to hear it still works. seems the decreased drop rate of epics hit the skeletons harder maybe? Also seems that the Hilt now has around the same drop rate as Foror's compendium from what I've heardbut still this is an easy way to farm it + makin alot of cash.

And QQ for 1 whole day of farming without getting a hilt:P made 3k on enchanting mats though :P

Gathered up most of the 'How to' for each class that has been posted and put it in first post. Was a bit affraid it had been removed from loot table after no drops today but as long as the dude on wowhead isn't messing with us it seems to work so this thread wasn't useless after all:P even starting to look usefull with class tacts and everything now hehe:P

Note about the hunter method you can use frost arrow and trap the elite then aoe adds and fd and no risk with your pet.

I have taken all the packs, so does it reset or what ? or maybe i cant be saved to the instance to get it to respawn ?

go outside and reset instances, go back in and they are there.

You can't reset a saved instance. All bosses needs to be alive for reseting trash although no reset message will show up but the trash will respawn.
