Reduce your loading time and increase fps greatly

We're going to increase the amount of memory used to cache WoW textures in your video card which will reduces your loading time and increases your fps in bloated places.
First you need to know how much RAM you have on your video card
Run -> dxdiag -> Display tab (monitor in danish)
We're going to allocate half this value to textures caching meaning:
If you have a 1024MO card, allocate 512MO (write 536870912)
If you have a 512MO card, allocate 256MO (write 268435456)
If you have a 320MO card, allocate 160MO (write 167772160)
If you have a 256MO card, allocate 128MO (write 13421772
If you have a 128MO card, allocate 64MO (write 67108864)
If you have a 64MO card, allocate 32MO (write 33554432; BASE VALUE)
You can allocate more memory than this (never allocate more than 512MO) but if you overflow your video card, the system will use its own memory instead meaning any benefits will be lost.

The ingame command is /console texturecachesize XYZ
XYZ being the exact value in octet you want to allocate (you have to convert megaoctet value to octet like I already did).
Example: I have a 256MO video card, the command I'll be using is /console texturecachesize 134217728

NB:-You have to reboot the game for the change to take effect
-I'm not 100% sure of the vocaburaly I used but I'm sure some IT nerd will correct me if I'm wrong somewhere
-Go back to the base value if you have any problem (/console texturecachesize 33554432)
-The command is being changed to /console gxtexturecachesize ABC for 3.3, ABC being this time the value in megaoctet directly (no longer need to convert)

    Hope this helps.

IF YOU HAVE OVER 1024 MB RAM ON YOU VIDEO CARD YOU TYPE:
    /console texturecachesize 536870912

    Why?

Just thought I'd point out, you might want to change the title.

    "Increase your loading time"

Not something many people would want to do... Reduce it, sure. Not increase.
Nice guide though, I'm going to try this.

EDIT, @ Trollblod: type: "/console texturecachesize 268435456" in-game then restart for it to take effect.
EDIT, @ 2D: "You can allocate more memory than this (never allocate more than 512MO)"

Edit, again... Just did this and didnt notice a change in fps, but my loading times are quite alot quicker now. +Repx2

Are you sure that the 536870912 value is for 1024 MO cards correct? I don't get a positive effect

If we do it ingame with " /console texturecachesize 268435456" then why should I type do: Run -> dxdiag -> Display tab ? Just to find out how much memory my video card have? And 2d, are you sure you're not thinking about your Ram?

Seems to have worked for me.. My FPS raised a little. Not 'greatly', but a little... like 5-10 maybe.

You check how much memory your video card has, than with that value.. let's say you have 512MB.. go into WoW and type /console texturecachesize 268435456.

    Formula
    (X/2) * 1024 * 1024 = Z
X is your ram on video card.

Z is what you type behind

    /console texturecachesize

So, my vid card ram is 256

    (256/2)*1024*1024= 134217728

    I type:

    /console texturecachesize 134217728

    Then exit wow and restart.
