Gearing your fresh dk dps

So, as many saw/commented on I recently made a thread about a new dk tank
Well as per request here is the other
Stangcobra's Dk Dps gear guide

Now, dps stats are not as complicated as tanks, however they do differ between the specs
The most commonly accepted specs right now are
Blood:The World of Warcraft Armory
Frost:The World of Warcraft Armory

Stats:
For both specs you want as much str as possible, however hit is also important
Frost you need 5% hit for your yellows to always hit
14%(13 for draenei, 11% with a spriest or boomkin, 10% with both) for your spells to always hit

Blood
8% hit cap, roughly 262 hit, this is the melee hit cap, ignore spell hit cap

This is the ToC/crafted stuff
Next time I will incorporate badge rewards
*Note* the ArP on this gear isnt great for frost but is wonderful for blood, not discouraging frosties but maybe wait it out and look for my badge gear version of this coming soon

Sigil: This is debatable but Sigil of Awareness - Item - World of Warcraft is always a good bet




Gems and enchants:
Yellow Socket +20hit(till capped)(Rigid King's Amber)- After cap go with 20str
Then every socket +20str(Bold Cardinal Ruby)
Blue Sockets:2x 10str15sta(Soverign Dreadstone) for meta then 20str
Meta:21crit3%increased crit damage(Chaotic Skyflare Diamond)

Enchants:
Head:50ap/20crit
Shoulder:Hodir exalted
Chest:10stats
Wrists:50ap
Gloves:44ap
Waist:eternal belt buckle with 20str
Legs:75ap 22 crit
Boots:32ap or 12crit 12hit or 15sta/runspeed

Best meta is 21 Agi and 3% increased damage(21 Agi gives more crit than 21 crit), and then you dont need to use Soroveign, just use 1 +10 allstats gem, then 20 str all the way

Never ever ever ever ever skip the spellhit as Blood DPS.
Especially if you're interrupting at General Vez.
So go for, 283 (I think?) hit, you don't loose that much dps from it.

I heard that being a blood elf, and naming yourself a variation on "Arthas" or "Sephiroth" gives a massive boost to dps...

why didn't you provide a link to unholy talent guide? its better then blood and frost in Toc10/25 on most of the fights.

+with 4set t9 you should gem 10str/10crit into yellow sockets if the socket bonus gain is +3str or higher.

And no,tozededao, 21agi does not give more crit then 21crit rating for dk's

AND don't skip spellhit, missing a hit on your rotation as frost for example can make you lose out on disease refreshing or runic power capping to much
