As many other guides have so far shown it's easy to make alot of gold through inscription. The main flaw is the sheer amount of time required to maintain a list of all the profitable glyphs you can make (in my case I always try to keep 2+ of every glyph in stock).
A new addon has just been released called KTQ - Kev Tool Queue. (Author's site)
Once installed (beware you will need the latest skillet by lil spark, and altholic addons) you can use a number of simple commands to queue all the glyphs you need.
The author's site says it best:
This command will check the stock level of the item (how many you have across all of your characters) and queue as many glyphs are needed to bring you back to 2 glyphs.The beauty of this mod is its simplicity. It does have a few simple features that give it a lot of power. Here is a quick sample of the commands. I will be covering more features over the next few days and show you how to get more out of it.
Open up your tradeskill window in skillet and for inscription type this command:
/KTQ QUEUE 2 GLYPH
So the syntax is like this:
/KTQ QUEUE [number to queue] [keywork to match]
Thus;
if you have none 2 will be queued,
if you have 1 only 1 will be queued,
if you have 2+ none will be queued.
I won't tell you all the various commands (truthfully I'm still working out the best use of them myself) but I will say there are options for skipping single glyph creations, bonus creation options for when a glyph has fully sold out, and the option to not create a glyph worth under a fixed price.
This addon has been recently added to curse gaming and is available from the client for those who use that. This addon can easily be used for other trade items traditionally made on mass (gem cuts / tailor bags spring to mind).
My personal method at the moment is;
/ktq queue 2 glyphs
create all these glyphs then use the automail feature of quick-auction to send all glyphs to my bank character.
I then list all glyphs with on AH with quick-auction with a min-threshold of 3g (a loss of a few silver worst case, but helps drive off competition) and default of 45G when no other glyphs are present.
I can easily have a full restock created and on AH in 10-15 mins, most of which time I spent alt+tabbed browsing the web.
I realise this guide isn't the best; but hopefully my fellow inscribers using the much posted quick-auction addon might appreciate the time this will shave off the daily glyph creation.
