New Awesome Hunter pet available! Spirit Beast in Wolf skin !

Hunters rejoice! There is a new tameable rare (from 3.2) to be found in the storm peaks!

This is what it looks like:

And it is tameable ! *FYI, he is a Rare Elite named "Skoll" level 80 Ferocity pet and can only be tamed/utilized while in the BM spec*.

Now that Skoll is ingame with the 3.2 patch even more information is filtering down to the hunters looking for this newest Spirit Beast.
Beast Master hunters have wished for a non-cat spirit beast ever since Loque’nahak was introduced. We now have those wishes granted.
The good-bad news, depending on your hunter’s level, is that the newest spirit beast is level 80. On the good side, there is no leveling up time. On the bad…well, there is some hunter leveling to be done before this wolf-worg can be added to the stables, if your character isn’t already at 80.
At this time, there are five possible and four confirmed spawn spots for Skoll. ( I will update this post when more are found and confirmed ).

46,65~ standing on the cliff-hills overlooking the Brunnhildar Village, facing away from the village you’ll see a circular metal pad near the snow covered pine trees (sometimes a ruins stone is nearby as part of another quest) – in this area Skoll roams. You’ll be able to see Stormpeak Wyrms carrying their captive Stormpeak Rhinos off to the top of the mountain in the near distance. (although this is not yet listed as an official spawn, I have seen shots of this spot with Skoll in the taming process)
One point to make ~~ no one has reported on Skoll’s roaming range as of yet. It is possible that some “unofficial” spawn spots are part of his total range area. That has yet to be reported or confirmed.
45,62 ~ from the edge of the Brunnhildar Village metal pad spawn spot, facing toward the back of the ice blue Stormpeak Wyrm perched on it’s huge boulder, if you follow around the tree line to the left a bit further on you will come to another huge boulder. Looking down from the edge of the rough hills along the tree line is the 45,62 spawn spot. This is a confirmed spawn spot and as mentioned, not knowing just how far Skoll can roam, the above location may be within his range or may be another spawn that is very close. (Rak’Shiri has spawn spots that are relatively close so it’s possible – just not known for certain at this point.)
29,50 ~ just beyond Navir’s Cradle in the Snowdrift Plains (take the Bouldercraig Refuge flight path) near a divided huge boulder with snow covered pine trees is another spot where Skoll has appeared. You’ll encounter Stormriders and Snowdrift Jormuungars all around here so be ready to fight as well as camp. This is a confirmed spawn spot.
30,64 ~ Bor’s Breath is another reported spawning spot (although I have not personally seen a screenshot of Skoll there – yet). Among harpies hanging in the trees waiting to attack the Hatchlings flying past them, look to the frozen river where the darkest blue ice forms almost a lopsided triangle. On the hillside there are two groupings of trees, one with three and across from that grove a loose group of two. Between the sets of trees you will see a continuous spawning of the Hatchlings – there is the latest reported spawn spot. The 30,64 space is right where the white birds emerge from the snowy hillside.
28,51 ~ Across from the huge boulder location in the Snowdrift Plains (29,50) I tamed Skoll this morning at 2:45 am server time. I was fortunate enough to actually see him fade into existence so I can confirm personally that this spot is a spawn spot and not a roaming location.
Facing the cave with Stormforged Iron Men wandering outside and within, look to the left, there is a snow covered pine tree on the side of the cave. That is where Skoll walked into existence for me. Exactly at 28,51.
Like all of the Spirit Beasts so far, Skoll is a non-aggro creature with the yellow dot showing on the mini-map. He does pounce so lay your trap at your feet and tag him.
Skoll’s level of 80 is an advantage and a disadvantage, in my opinion. No need to spend time leveling him up to you should your character already be 80 – and the mad dash to level if your character falls a bit short of the current character cap before Patch 3.2 goes live.
I do expect to find this beauty camped..a lot. So many Beast Master hunters have left the cats alone because they just don’t appeal to them. That will change with another kind of spirit beast’s introduction. As well as those of us that love the cats, but the looks of this spirit beast will bring them around to the wolf side. And of course, those that just want the kill, no matter how long it will take

So i have to be BM to tame it. Can i then switch over to survival and still use it or can i only use it when im BM ?

Afaik you can only use it while BM with the talent.

indeed is old xD, have had skoll for awhile. found in storm peaks right above the frozen waterfall while looking for that rare dragon.

There probably isnt a thread about everything on here, so its really in his rights to tell you that this is old news. In your post it kinda feels like this pet is out NOW and not really a few weeks ago when the patch hit. Maybe is just me. And being called an idiot for stating something obvious just confuses me, so i wont argue about that much.

Its still a nice pet though, and i believe every second hunter that is into collecting new pets checks Petopia from time to time.

Just some input, no offense.

Yeah I know, but there are different ways of expressing your opinion, and he went with the least polite one.

Besides, i clearly stated in the beginning of the post that it is from 3.2 which is some time ago, the post is just meant for those who didnt know, like me
