[hunter] afk any wep skill ( melee or ranged )

i DID search if this was a repost( i looked up hunter weapon skill ), please feel free to gimme a link if it is, at which point i will ask for it to be deleted but if no one gives me a link ( i could not find one ) i hope this helps

the main point of this thread is not that he still gives weapon skill but how to afk it with your pet tanking so u take no damage

as many of you may know Archmage Allistarj - NPC - World of Warcraft is a mob in the blasted lands that STILL gives weapon skill and will NOT die unless you have the quest.

what i have done to level ALL weapon skills to 400 is this.

Two peice tier 5 set bonus - causes your pet to be healed 15% of the damage you do. ( and believe me, if you leave your pet alone for as long as i do you will need some sort of heal )

or an alternative is the heals from pet talents, i dont have them in my pet specs so i use this

if you dont get it by now let me explain,

1/.turn growl on your pet
2/. send him to attack the target
3/. either range or melee him ( your choice depending on what your leveling )
4/. afk time

he does occasionally polymoprh but i either resist it or when its over i end up facing him again.. at least when i get back im always on him

if u stand in the back of the room you have no worries of aggroing other mobs.

and yes u could use doctor boom( for ranged ) but i leveled all skills at once, minus axes and bows, so i went here and checked back every so often to switch weapons

Why can this only work for hunters? Wouldnt a pally with seal of light be fine? (for atleast 30 mins that is)

Its a good idea, will try it. If u dont have 2pieces of T5, you can tame a tank pet(tenacity), like turtle and put 2points to Silverback. It will heal 2% if ur pet use growl. + you can talent in BM and put on Spirit Bond.
