Ok, this strategy is useful solo and as a group. I have two methods. One of them, you need a horde and alliance account. The other works with an ordinary one. First, lemme start off with a story: I arena with a mage who is always out of gold. I always pay for his gems/enchants when he gets new gear. Finally, sinc ei'm sick of helping him, i tell him to "ninja" neutral auction houses. He spent HOURS just spamming the search button on auctioneer waiting for things to pop up. A few days later, he showed me his traveller's mammoth. I have a different friend who I "partner" with while ninjaing the AH. We have several accounts to use, so it is easier for us but pretty much we have two types of characters: the scout and the buyer. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have your buyer in the Winterspring auction house. No1 bothers to go there so no1 can see u trying to ninja the neutral auction house. Then, the for the scouts, have them at safe distances from the auction houses in Tanaris and Stranglethorn Vale. For example,
Notice i'm a lvl 42. No1 will suspect me when they type in /who stranglethorn vale. etc. they will see the approximate lvl there. so when looking for people to ninja, you can type /who tanaris. if u see lvl 1 there ESPECIALLY bankerx. GET YOUR BUYER ONLINE LOLOLOL. Sometimes you see one alliance lvl 1 and a horde lvl 1. Be VERY patient to wait for them to put things up. Remember, no1 goes to winterspring so they wont check that.
The spot for Tanaris.
I'm too lazy to get lvl a 50 to be there hehe.
Addons: Auctioneer or anything with an instaclick buyout. BTM scanner used to exist but i cannot find it anymore. What it does is scan for items that were recently put on the AH. will +rep to any1 who PMs me a download for this.
Ok, prety much, you spam search when you see "suspicious activity." Sometimes, you can just go in w/o a battleplan to ninja things, but it can be sometimes innefficient.
This is great, right? easy, right? HOWEVER, there are some tips you MUST KNOW IN ORDER TO RACK IN THE 20K IN SECONDS LIKE MY ARENA PARTNER DID. Some people put in cheap stuff for 1 copper in the neutral AH to see if someone buys. THIS IS A TRAP. they will risk the 5 gold or w/e that they will lose to ensure the safety of their stacks of abyss crystals. PATIENCE WILL GET YOU GOLD, TRUST ME ON THIS. in a matter of minutes, they will post up the prizes. (this really pisses me off cuz one time i waited an hour, but most importantly, i got the stacks of ench mats!)
Add the people you ninja from to your friends list on all of your characters so you know when to log onto your buyer.
Change your buyer often because the traders will add you to friends also.
A strat we do is i buy on one char. then i log when they start psting me. then he logs onto his other buyer then buys out his newly posted stuff.
Now on to the fair part of having 2 accs. its pretty simple. dual box. look up prices in the Auction house. see how u can profit.
Tips on trading between horde and alliance. a way to spam the pages of auctioneer u can post many items with a bid on them to clear off the front page for your 1 copper bids. Also, have items tha tare 3 copper bid and like a 20g buyout to hide things as well. Another way to avoid being ninjad is to set the buyout to 10g+ to ensure safety. better to lose 1 gold than to lose a stack of infinite dust.
Ok, hope this guide helped your ninjaing adventures. GL. Hope this isn't a repost/obvious. (well, the idea is pretty well known, but not the strategies i think)
*****UPDATED PART*****
Ok, found new ways to ninja.
3 AH places in stranglethorn vale NO WAI BRAH. On the left is the one every1 uses. The one on the right can sometimes be used to buy, but what we want is the middle one. It is located on the bottom of Booty Bay.
go into that corner with your character and type /laydown. you can still talk to the AH goblin and still lie down.
Profit.
