Members of MMOWNED,
I'm going to be releasing an ********-inducing Gold Guide soon that will make you incredibly wealthy. It's easy to follow, understand, takes little effort (no travelling required), and I promise that you'll be surprised by the results!
(If you want to hear more, read on. Otherwise skip to *** to just see one of the Best Kept Gold-Making Secrets.)
____________________________________________________
The guide focuses on utilizing several Crafting Skills and Disenchanting. What's nice about Disenchants is that they always sell, they're easy to store, and don't cost any AH Downpayments. It's a very reliable money-making method as opposed to re-selling items/recipes/potions/gear/etc.
(I don't know about you, but I'm sick-and-tired of hearing about Auctioneer as a money maker. Everybody is using it now, profit margins are significantly lower than when no one knew about the mod, and with the constant undercutting, AH downpayment costs and AH % cuts - it's just not a reliable and predictable model to make gold anymore. You never know if your item will sell, or if anyone even wants your re-posted Recipe.)
On the side, this method will also level most of your crafting skills but generate real profit instead of just costly expenses to level them.

Alright, so here's one example of an item that has been long forgotten, but can generate a ton of profit.
[Volcanic Shoulders]
Materials:
10 Rugged Leather (45s Each on AH)
1 Essence of Fire (1.0G Each on AH)
1 Essence of Earth (1.5G Each on AH)
2 Rune Thread (40s Each from Vendor @ Exalted)
Cost to Craft: 780G to make 100 x [Volcanic Shoulders]
Disenchanting Results:
222 x Illusion Dust (Sells for 3G Each on AH)
64 x Greater Eternal Essence (Sells for 12G Each on AH)
4 x Large Brilliant Shard (Sells for 4G Each on AH)
Value of Disenchants: 1450G
Profit: 670G
To summarize, if you were to buy 50 stacks of Rugged Leather (at an average of 9G per stack), craft into Volcanic Shoulders and disenchant, you stand to receive almost 700G in profit.
Where to obtain the [Volcanic Shoulders] Recipe:
This pattern is dropped by Firebrand Legionnaires in LBRS. Took me about 30 runs to get it. They're located in LBRS, at the base of the ramp leading up to Smolderweb. There are only 2 Legionnaires there, so this will take a lot of runs/resets - but definately worth it if you crunch your numbers using the above Disenchant Results. You could also sell the recipe on the AH for 300-500G - but it won't be bought by anyone unless they know of this method.

Pre-WOTLK, Greater Eternals used to sell for 20G each and Illusion Dust were 4G each. Rugged Leather was even cheaper, so I was making about 2000G per day for about 1 hour of work (just hanging around the AH & Mailboxes) just making/DEing this item.
NOTE: THIS IS SERVER ECONOMY SPECIFIC! HOWEVER THE GUIDE WILL ALLOW YOU TO ADJUST FOR YOUR OWN ECONOMY AND SHOW YOU EXACTLY HOW MUCH PROFIT YOU CAN MAKE.
If this method does NOT work for you on your own server economy - DON'T FRET! My guide has a list of 80+ other items (some known, some unknown surprises) that you can use. I guarantee you'll be very surprised by how much money you can make just doing this.
If you have multiple toons with different Crafting Skills, even better!
The guide works best if you have a JC, Enchanter (ofcourse), LW, BS and a Tailor. Using a combination of Crafting Skills (buying out Light/Medium/Rugged Leather, Linen/Wool/Silk/Mageweave/etc, Adamantite/Saronite/Cobalt/etc) you can make about 3-4K gold per day for about 2-3 hours of work (that can also be automated.) =]
So just consider the above example a teaser of things to come.
[I'm hoping to have the guide out this week.. just waiting for the WoW Server to come back online (grrrrr..) so that I can tweak some numbers and finish off the guide.]
In the meantime, please break out a calculator and try out the Mat Costs vs Disenchant Results yourself. If the above example works well for you, let me know. If your Essence of Earth's are crazily priced though, consider farming (7G per disenchant) or just wait for the guide. =]
