    About Epic gems, Titanium, Prospecting

I've just been on the actual 3.2 Test server, and here are the infos I have found.

Out of prospecting 23 stack Titanium ore (92 prospects total)
I've got 25 epic gems, 24 rare gems, 141 Uncommon gems, and 63 Titanium powder.
After doing some math : Each prospect yields 0.27 Epic gem, 0.26 Rare gem, 1.5 Uncommon gem, and 0.6 Titanium powders.
Rounding that up/down you will come up with 1 epic gem and 1 rare gem every stack of Titanium ore, and 4 green gems and a few Titanium powders.
Using Alchemy, you can Transmute :
Eternal shadow + Blue gem into Orange gem
    Twilight opals into Purple gem
    Forest emeralds into Green gem
Eternal life + Blue gem into Yellow gem
    Sky Sapphires into Blue gem
I don't have a clue about the cooldown on these transmutations, being as I'm not an alchemist.
Also, as of now, you can't seem to transmute Red gem.
About the new Epic gem recepies :
Each recepie costs 5 Jewelcrafting token, which you can acquire by doing the daily JC quest, or Turning in 10 titanium powders.

Using this data, and assuming that an epic gem will sell for 200 g, a blue gem for 30g, and a green for 2g (totally arbituary) each titanium ore is worth 10.87 g.

If you feel like it , you can use the spreadsheet I've used to calculate this data, change the Blue cells according to your likings.

    Awesome guide

The problem I see with the Prospecting: People on my server are buying Titanium like crazy for 3.2, and I'm guessing the market will be overloaded with epic and rare gems alike. What I'm doing is selling my titanium ore pre-patch (245g/stack on my server), which should yield more money . Great guide though, +Rep x2

I am actually doing the reverse. I am hoarding the Titanium ore for later sales as it will become even more profitable then with high demand.

High demand, but a MUCH higher supply as well.

The red epic comes from 3 of the green epic, which comes from 3 of the rare green.

Basically hording forest emeralds might turn out to be quite profitable as you can get them on the cheap, even if it takes 9, red epics should be fairly solidly high due to crazy demand.
