Cool wolf costume (All classes, 70+)

Hello MMOwned, this is my first thread. I want to tell you how to -and to- get a (in my opinion) really cool wolf costume on your level 70+ character.
I have done my best to try and make this thread as informative as possible, and I hope you like it.

For the rich who want this costume fast, you will need:
1 free bag slot
level 70 or higher
money

The not so rich or cheap will possibly need:
A scribe friend (someone with Inscription)
level 70 or higher
Time

Scribes (also the scribe friend above) will need:
Technique: Rituals of the New Moon. This is a Grizzly Hills drop from Silverbrook (27,33). It drops from Silverbrook Trappers, Villagers, Defenders in this village. I will explain later on how to get to kill these. (It also drops from another type of mob with a far lower drop chance, it's the bottom one in the link, but it is not in Silverbrook and therefore I will not list it here - read on if you want to know)
skill 350
possibly level 74 or higher due to questline needed to kill mobs


What this is, is an offhand weapon called Rituals of the New Moon, which, when used, transforms you into a giant wolf. There are several versions of this offhand that each have their own special wolf color. (2 min transformation, 10 min cooldown)
Link: Rituals of the New Moon. This is a link to a wowhead search of the item. You can hover your mouse over the item links to see a tooltip showing the different colors (Black, Grey, Red, White).
The wolf is very similiar to the shaman Ghost Wolf, except it is not a transparent ghost. Therefore, shamans may find this item useless

As you can see in the link, it is made by inscription, and it is bound on equip. This means that you can either buy the Rituals of the New Moon item off the Auction House. (Remember to look in the tooltip if you are looking for a costume with a specific color)
The price varies a lot from server to server and time to time. Therefore, if you can not find it for a price you will pay, you may want to gather the materials for this yourself and make a scribe make you one. (Or farm the "technique" yourself and make it)
The materials for this item:
5x Ink of the Sea
10x Resilient Parchment
3x Eternal Shadow
(There are other guides on how to obtain these items, and they can also be bought from the Auction House, should you not be able to find the costume you were looking for on the Auction House)


To kill the mobs that drop the technique, as alliance, you will need to start the quest Escape from Silverbrook (use wowhead comments if you need information about the quest). You must do this quest to turn the mobs hostile.

Also, if you want to get this without doing any quests, you can kill Silverbrook Hunters, who have a smaller drop chance. These are found in Grizzly Hills at 36,69.


The Silverbrook Hunters have a 0.1% drop chance according to wowhead, while the Villagers and Trappers have a drop chance of 1.7% and 1.4%.
Therefore, it might be worth your time to do the quests to make the mobs hostile to you. (Keep in mind, that wowhead statistics can be wrong and the drop chance could be the same for all the mobs.)
Actually, now that I think about it, it can probably only be looted by scribes, and therefore the drop chance may be much higher So good luck



Time for screenshot. It is my own, and it is of the red version of the costume.


They all look pretty much the same, and I just picked a random one.
(The ghost my character is facing is from the item called Haunted Memento. This can also be bought from Auction House, and it's really fun, try searching MMOwned for it )


To sum it up, the easiest (possibly fastest - by gathering gold through one of MMOwned's gold guides) way to get this item is to buy it from the Auction House. Remember to look at the tooltip if you want a specific color.
The only reason to farm the technique for this item is (in my opinion) to make money on selling the item. If you want more information on how to do that, you can read this MMOwned thread:

I love this item, as I love all the other costume items, and therefore I wanted to tell the members of MMOwned how to - and to - get it.
I find this item useful for having fun, making people think "w00t", being cool, dancing a funny dance, having warm fur and making money.

I linked to that thread in my guide. That thread is a guide on how to make money with inscription, and that is why I have not posted such a guide.

People looking for cool costumes would not find that thread, and this thread is dedicated to those that want a cool costume, not those that want to make money with inscription.

I would not have made this guide knowing it was a repost and that it would be of use to no one. Yes, some of the same stuff is said in that thread, but this is sort of another guide. This is a tip to get this item, a guide how to get it fast and easy.
That thread is a guide on how to make money with inscription, using this item.

Also, people looking for a way to make money with inscription, would probably not find this guide.

Well, it doesn't sell for as much as I'd hoped tho, so the ones that think they can sell this for 500g+++ , it doesn't, sadly.
