Farm Saronite Make Gold

I've done a little searching and I haven't really found a good guide for Saronite farming.

Over the last 2 days I've leveled my Engineering from 300-450 using mining about 200 saronite ore at a time. Due to the high amount of saronite required for about the last 30 levels of engineering I figured I'd put up a little guide to farming it pretty easily.


First off, I use gatherer, which is really great for remembering where nodes spawn, and also shows you other nodes that your guildies, and party members. Just google Gatherer Addon and grab the Database on the website as well, it'll be a nice starting point.

This is a little guide that I've made around Sholazar Basin. This is the best area to find and gather Saronite Ore by the Hundreds. I spent about 3 hours in there yesterday and came away with about 700 Saronite Ore. Its too easy. In the picture that I included, you can see my route that I usually stick to.
Starting just West of the Nesingwary Basecamp you can see that I just proceed to make a big half circle around the southern border.



Following the red arrows you can see the route I make. Once you get to the end (where it says finish) you just proceed back to the start point again, and rinse and repeat. Its a pretty self explanatory picture, and I hope that It'll help you guys get some saronite. I know on my server it sells for about 30g for a stack of ore, and 50g for a stack of bars.

It's a pretty well known place to farm, and a basic route, still it helped me to tune my saronite farming, so ty ^^

Keep fly around the edge in Sholazar basin, Atleast 15 stacks per hour.

There was another version of this that had the paths looping around some of the Pillars. Anyone have a clue with one is more efficient?

I just do circles, and get like 6 stack/hour. IDK how you can only get 1 lol unless you didn't buy your 30gold mount

this is best place to farm as I'm 450 miner as a horde xD I get alot of gold my self at there... but I mostly altso just skin the Deers, altso I figure out that in that kind of spots the gold farmers are killing the deers and get gold from them like 1000g/hour

I don't know how you only made 1 stack out there in 2 hours!? I spend less than an hour and can come away with about 200 ore EASY. I personally hate farming, but its so easy out here. I just added this up to give someone who doesn't really know a good farming route, and something that works for me. If you like it, use it, if not, there's no need to be rude. I'm just trying to give my 2 cents.
