Wow... Today is a great day for PocketGnome... I had a light bulb turn on in my head after reading "thesyskokidd" post about how to "background bot"
As many of you know, with OS 10.5.6, Background botting was not really possible.... BUT, if you use thesyskokidd's method, you can background bot again. More or less, you will be running 2 OS accounts at the same time... Here is a copy & paste of his guide.
But now you are asking, "But how do I Multi-Box now????"Go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES
GO to ACCOUNTS
Create a new account Named PG, or whatever. Make it an admin account.
Enable FAST USER SWITCHING
RUN WoW and Pocket GNOME from this new account.
Once the bot is cruising along, fast-switch to your main account.
Viola! You are now 100% "backgound" botting.
You are able to run a copy of WoW on each OS account, as well as an independent copy of PocketGnome on each account... So more or less, you are able to now Multi-Box using PocketGnome.
Guide:
- Follow the above mentioned "thesyskokidd's guide to background botting", to set up 2 OS accounts
- On the second account, you will run WoW (should be found in your Applications)
- You may need to redownload PocketGnome on the new OS account (since mine was stuck in my download folder)
- Run WoW
- Set up PocketGnome (you will NOT have any Routes / Behaviors the first time you set it up)
- Voila!!! You are now 100% "Multi-Botting"
(*Note* theysyskokidd is a PocketGnome forum user, props go to him for the background bot guide. I am the original author for the Multi-Botting Guide)
