im to lazy to look through all the pages but it requires 400 JC to prospect saronite ore

2000g spent on Saronite ore (105 Stacks) and some Eternal Earth (70). 105 stacks of Saronite ore.
Saronite cost 19g a stack average.
Eternal Earth cost 5.5g each average. (Didn't use all of them.)

Blue gems from Prospecting:
22 - Scarlet Ruby (70g Per) 1540g
12 - Monarch Topaz (29g Per) 348g
16 - Twilight Opal (18g Per) 288g
14 - Forest Emerald (6.5g Per) 91g
10 - Autumn's Glow (37.5g Per) 375g
15 - Sky Sapphire (19g Per) 285g

Mats from Disenchanting:
420 - Infinite Dust (5g Per) 2100g
33 - Greater Cosmic Essence (15g Per) 495g
3 - Dream Shards (12g Per) 36g

Grand total of 5558g if I sold everything at going market rate but when I do mass stuff like this, I generally cut 15% of to guarantee sales. I also rarely sell them in the AH.

So if I reduce the "market value" by 15%, I'll still make 4724.3g which is still 2700g more than I spent. Now, I have a miner with epic riding so I can farm this ore myself. This is just an example of my server.

I find that a lot of my gems aren't selling in the AH. So is it sometimes a good idea to just sell certain gems uncut, and only cut the good ones like Scarlet Rubies?

Also, a good thing to do with your spare Dark Jades and Shadow Crystals; make Icy Prisms. You can make one per day and they normally give about 2-3 blue gems. :>

I've started using this way to make money to.
It's realy easy, the only thing you need is good starting gold and some time.

I started with 500g monday, bought about 400g Saronite ore 100g Eternal Earth.
Worked realy well, I make about 170% profit everytime I use this.
I can do it about twice a day. First day I ended with about 1000g.
Next day 1700g and so on. I'm atm at 2500g. I'm gonna continue this till im at 40k gold. Then im gonna give some to my friend's buy a Chopper etc etc.
I expect to have that gold before next patch (atleast I hope so) ill reply this thread again when I have 50k gold!

Eternal Earth's are going for like 11g each on my realm, not sure if it's worth buying them until it goes down a bit.

You can easily farm Eternal earth yourself at the Frozen lake east of Dun Niffelem. The mobs there spawn faster than you can kill them, since they drop quest items there are always a certain numbers of them up so as soon as you kill them new ones appear. They drop a fair amount of Earth..

I had 220 Saronite ore that i mined myself, I prospected them into great things, Used all the bad things into Rings and DE it, I profited alot from it, Maybe 3g per item and i had 30-40 items, So maybe 100g profit, Im gonna do it in huger scale soon.

I just crunched some numbers and it seems that I wouldn't profit very much at all on my server (Blackhand). But, still sounds like a good way on other servers, +rep

For the record, 30 stacks of ore would cost 750g, at 25g a pop, and eternal earth sells for like 12g a pop, while the infinite dust only sells for like 3g a piece and greater cosmic essence only sells for 12g a piece. By spending about 1k gold I would only make about 500g from the enchanting, not sure about the gems. But since it didn't seem like a very big profit considering I would just have to use my friends jc and enchanting.

Wow.. never heard of an economy that bad. For anyone wanna try this.. just use the spreadsheet i mentioned and you can see how much you can profit on your server. I guess it's rare if you can't make any profit out of this
