Tried this yesterday, with buying the ores (had a shitload of eternals in bank) and prospected em. Spent 600g on saronite ore and now after prospecting and crafting the rares I got into gems, I already made over 900g. And I got like 200 JC crafted rings/necks waiting on my bankchar to be dissed. So, VERY profitable.

A lot of stuff is common sense,... but if it really was that obvious, there wouldnt be anyone selling saronite for 20-30g per stack

I used to have mining as a second prof. until i started buying again (used to buy adamanite ore and prospect it BC already)

I have been really lazy lately, but still looking for something like this. When I saw your guide I started to look on the AH prices, and figured the following:
to make 100 rings I would have to pay approximately 450g for the mats
When disenchanting them I would end up with shards worth 715g

Needless to say thats a pretty nice amount of profit and it will, as already mentioned, probably rise by ALOT with 3.1 coming.

pretty possible, i just made 90 rings and earned about 1k gold

1. I bought around 100 stacks of saronite per day, if not more at times --> That's around 350+ rings you can make. At my highest production i had around 20 stacks of infinite dust in the AH at one time.. and enchanting mats are selling so good, i always sold ALL of those mats, even when i got undercut. --> it's all about economies of scale

2. You are not only selling the enchanting mats... the gems contribute

I made quite a lot of gold using similiar techniques (about 37k at my height before spending it on crap). However, after taking a break on it shortly before 3.0.8 and coming back to it, i've found that the gems and enchanting markets are just not what they used to be. A lot more people have rolled JC, and 3.0.8 brought a huge nerf to especially Greater Cosmic Essences). Prices of both gems and enchanting mats have crashed (my server is one of the original large high population release day servers, so your mileage may vary).

Haven't figured that out yet - i got around 50 stacks greens and 50 stacks purples

how many saronite ore do you buy and whats your maximum gold you pay for 1 stack? and what do you do if you bought all saronite for 20-30g, i think over 30g for a stack is too much, or?
also what are your eternal earth, infinite dust and greater cosmic essence prices on your server? i know it is varied from server to server. and should i buy green uncut gems from the ah or keep prospecting saronite? bloodstone etc. goes for 30-40 per stack here.

i'm asking because i did this method the last week and earned about 4k, but the most time i waited in front of the AH because nobody sells his saronite for under 28g anymore.
