Make 400-600 G/hour on Eternal Fires as an Engineer

Eternal Fires are the more expensive Eternal on the AH because they aren't as easily obtained by just mob farming. As a result of this they go for 40-50G on the AH. This guide is going to assist engineers in making their farming of clouds just a little bit easier.

What your going to be doing is farming Crystallized Fire and Crystallized Water off Steam Clouds in Sholazar Basin, using a couple addons to make it much more efficient and easier.

    Addons your going to need:

    1. GatherMate
    2. GatherMate_Data
    3. Routes

    Items you will need:

    1. Zapthrottle Mote Extractor
    2. Belt-Clipped Spynoculars attached to your belt or Engineering Goggles that show gas clouds on your minimap. Ultra-Spectropic Detection Goggles is the cheapest set of goggles to make that shows clouds.
    3. 280% Flying Mount
    4. Some Farming Music

    Setting it up:

    1. Install all your addons.

    2. Type /gathermate ingame and import Gathermate_Data using these settings.

    3. Add your Route with these settings (Click the one with the red square around it.).

    4. Optimize your route with these settings (Foreground)

    5. Start farming! When you're near the line in the zone it will appear on your minimap. Your map of Sholazar should look like this if you did it properly.

I followed the path Routes gave me over a 1 hour period and came out with 108 Crystallized Fire and 37 Crystallized Water so in total 10 Eternal Fire and 3 Eternal Water which netted me 507G all together.

    Final Notes:

If you're also a Miner you can import mining on Step 2 and include it into your route on Step 3 and it will add known nodes into your route.

This doesn't work quite as well on weekends so don't be surprised if your profits from farming aren't as high friday and saturday.

Post these on the AH from an alt, people tend to get angry when you undercut them with 20 Eternal Fire.

After you first mount up normally use this macro when your near a cloud
    Code:
    #showtooltip
    /dismount
/castsequence reset=15 Zapthrottle Mote Extractor, Cenarion War Hippogryph
to dismount, extract, and remount all with one button. (Replace my mount with your mounts name.)

    Happy Farming!

I saw a post I believe your refering to about the addons after looking a little bit and it is a bit similar but i made my guide geared more specifically for farming Eternal Fire in Sholazar.

The Zapthrottle Mote Extractor needs 305 Engineering to use and the goggles to see the clouds are 350 minimum from what I can tell.
