Arakkoa Feather Farming [Terrokar Forest] [Bonus Cloth]

Outlands farming is mostly dead, since everybody has moved on to Northrend to farm the items required for trade skills / spells etc.

However, you can still make a fortune from farming Arakkoa feathers, since they're needed for the popular Knothide Quiver (requires 30 Arakkoa feathers). I recently sold 100 feathers for about 160 gold - that works out to 1.6 gold a feather!!. The listing price on the AH is very low, so you can also try to sell them for as much as 2 gold a feather!

The best two farming locations are at the circled points, since they're close to Shattrath city (get a mage portal there).



I farmed them as a mage and found it very easy to take them down (3 hits max). Feathers dropped up to 3 at once, and I probably got a drop from every 3rd mob.

This might seem like it's only an average farming spot, but since they're humanoids they also drop Netherweave Cloth!! The price might have come down but on my server it still commands quite a decent price for a stack (5 gold).

When you combine the cloth sales with the feathers and the 20-odd silver a drop, this is quite a nice farming spot!!

Although its pretty much common sense, I'll +Rep you as I will very soon find the good droprates of Netherweave handy for leveling First Aid and I probably wouldn't have thought of farming it there

farming marks of ulduar is much more efficient?

Sure marks of ulduar might be worth more, but I like this spot because it's got arakkoa feathers, netherweave cloth + silver drops + BOE greens. All up, it's a fairly high gold-per-hour spot

relics of ulduar are overfarmed on my server, at the moment idiots are auctioning them for less than they can vendor them for. you can not rely on a single farming spot and this is a great alternative. good find and +Rep

I don't know about this... But, wouldn't you make more money if you got a LW'er or w/e to craft the quiver then you sell teh quiver? or no

That would vary per server (depending on price of mats) and whether you needed to pay the LW for the service. But yeah, quivers sell for a fair bit
