I have done this for quite a bit on my server. It wasn't the best way
of making gold but it definately made me get some good deals on certain items.

There are two ways you can do this;

1. Make a thread on your server forum with all the items you desire.
2. Make a macro and sit for hours in your desired major city and spam the trade channel.

I personally do a mixture of both.

For option 1 I would recommend NOT posting your prices. I would merely state the general item's you are in desire and have people send you in game mail with an offer. When I mean offer, I mean have them give you a desired price UNDER the Auction House. This is the whole point of being the pawn shop, buying items UNDER auction house value.

You want to give people a reason to sell to you,I normally go with the line "Do you have item's collecting dust?"or "Do you need quick gold, and have a few junk items to dump but they arn't worth the Auction House fees?" and the one I like best to use is "DO you have an abundant amount of one item, but you don't want to flood the market?"

These are key, you need to convince the person to sell their item to you for cheap instead of full price on the Auction House. I think the main reason someone would sell to a pawn shop is:

1. They need gold fast
2. Its convient
3. Its quicker than the Auction House
4. There is no Auction House fee
5. They are L-A-Z-Y
6. They don't want to flood the Auction House but want to sell quickly

Some of these points should be stressed in your "pawn shop" thread.

I personally do not like giving a person a offer for an item. I have the seller give me an offer for the item they are trying to sell. This makes them put the ideal price range on the table, instead of me putting an offer on the table, which may turn them off to the idea of selling to me.

This is where Auctioneer comes in handy. You can give the seller a "Average price" of that item over the last couple weeks, or however long you have been scanning the auction house. It will also give you the price of how much the item will cost to post it on the Auction House. Put that into
account when you purchase an item.

When I had my pawn shop, I normally went 25-30% under auction house median. Some people agreed with the price, some didnt. Let the person give you the offer than you say "Well, I normally pay at least 25% under Auction House price, to accommodate the auction house fee's and still make a small profit."

General item's I had mainly wanted included:

PRimals
Ore
Gems
Trade goods
Blue items
Epic items
Cards
etc

I never bought green items unless I bought them for DE'ing. Nor did I buy blue items that were crafted by low level tradeskills.

Here is the template pawn shop thread you can make

(Character's name) Pawn Shop is now open for business!
Do you need gold fast?
Do you have items collecting dust in your guild bank?
Do you Dislike Auction House fee's?
Do you have an abundant amount of one item you want to sell, but you don't want to flood the Auction House?

I am currently purchasing most item's at a discounted rate! If you need to get rid of an item quickly, or you just don't want to post it on the Auction House I have your answer. If you have an item you would like to sell off, please feel free to send me an in-game mail with the item name and your ideal asking price. Or feel free to send the item by C.O.D and i will decide if I would like to purchase it.

I am very convient and I offer fast transactions! Why wait days and days for item's to sell on the Auction House? Let me do the hard work for you!

I purchase most items excluding low level greens gear. I am in search of your;

Primals
Ore
Gem's
Trade Goods
Blue Gear
Epic Gear/items
Cards
etc.

For option 2. I would use this lightly. People do not like people who spam all the time in trade chat. It is ok, and suggested to do it in trade chat.
Just don't over do it. You want to keep your "shout" short and sweet. Don't make this huge paragraph. Shouting in the trade channel does a bit more advertising and you will get items quicker than waiting for people to mail it. Keep your prices the same. Haggle with people, make bargins. Meet people in the middle.

Here is a good shout you can use for the trade channel

(character's name)'s Pawn shop is now open! Need to sell item's quick? Don't have time to wait for it to sell on the AH? I am purchasing item's at
a discounted rate. Pst with the item link and your asking price. Purchasing nearly all items!"

That is an example. Use your creativity and create your own, better one.

Along with this and Auctioneer I have 3 guild bank tabs, character bank, and character bags completely full of item's I have purchased at discounted prices. Thanks to Auctioneer, item's are quick and easy to post.

this seems quite pointless and i dont think anyone would want to do this yes people are lazy but i dont think that 25% under the ah is good enough to buy it just to resell at 15% profit. better to just scalp the ah.

Umm.. I have done this a lot so i personally know it works. Its not the best, but I have definitely made huge profits off of it.

This may not be "Epic" but I put alot of time and effort into writing this guide neatly and very detailed and understandable.

i can see this working personally im very lazy so i just loads stuff up them dump it in the AH for 2 days then leave the stuff in the mailbox , so this is a good idea +Rep x 2 check some of my guides
