The Guide Every ''Clicker'' Has to See

I am making this guide for all the clickers out there that don't know the benefits from keybinding.

    Contents:
    I - Why keybind?
    II - How to keybind
    III - Methods of keybinding

    I - Why keybind?

Keybinding allows you to react a lot faster than if you where to click, and it also allow your mouse to be more ''free'' to do other things then click spells. In many cases keybinding in PvP is a must.. But for PvE you can get away with clicking your spells.

    II - How to keybind?

Keybinding is farely simple to do, to keybind open the main menu (By hitting escape), then go to ''keybindings''. There you well see many things, I have broken it down for you:
    1) Movement Keys

The main thing you should look at in this are your strafe keys. Personally I made my strafe keys A, D so i can keybind Q, E. But some people like to keybind A,D instead. Another thing under this section is Z and X which make you sit / show your weapon. If you want to keybind Z,X you should make them something else, I use ALT Z,X. But it's up to you.

    2) Chat functions

Somethings you should look at is chat reply, if you want to keybind R (like me) I would make it something else (Mine is Alt R)

    3) Action bar functions

This is where it gets good.. The first thing you should look at is ''Action Buttons'' this is your main action bar. Make it what ever you want, I well use mine for a example tho:
    1 , 2 , 3 ,4 , 5, 6, Mouse Button 1, Mouse Button 2, Q, E, V, F

Then there is ''Special action bar buttons'' I don't know what this is tbh, but if you know what it is keybind it :P I think it's for Auras / Warrior Stances

Then there is SECONDARY Action Button.. What this is, is your pet. Personally I just keybind the first one. But if you want to keybind some more, feel happy to.

Now for action page buttons.. This is your different action bars on your pages. I keybinded the first one to Alt + 1 and the second one to Alt+2 to switch back and forth easily, but you can just use Shift+Scroll wheel.

    4) Targeting Functions

Now, this is completely up to you but personally I like to keybind to set my focus target, and to target nearest enemy.. If you want to keybind Tab then I suggest you change it now.. if you click your targets you might get away with just leaving it blank.

    5) interface toggle

Personally I don't keybind those at all but my character pain (Alt+C for me). If you want to keybind C like me, I suggest changing it.. But you can always click it on y our micro bar.

    6) Misc Functions

I just skip this, but by now you may get the feel of keybinding. Feel free to mess with it, you can always hit ''Default'' if you mess up

    7) Camera Functions

If you want to keybind your mouse wheel, I suggest changing the zoom in and zoom out button to something like - , + (something that you can remember).

    Multi Action Bar Bindings

This is for your second action bars, the first one is BUTTOM LEFT action bar. To turn this on go in the interface pannel. What I use for this is the same as my main action bar, but I use SHIFT makes it easy for me.

Then theres Buttom Right action bar functions, this is the same, but for the buttom right. This is completely up to you.. But I like to use the follow; Z , X , C , `, Control+1,2,3,4,5 and so on.

Then theres Right action bar, and right action bar 2. Feel free to do what ever you want. I use this to click my buffs but you can keybind it to something you like.

    9) Raid Targeting

If you lead raids / parties I would keybind these. I juse F1 , F2 , F3 and so on.

    10) Vehicle options

I don't keybind any of these, but again its up to you!

    III - Methods of Keybinding

Yes, there are many methods of keybinding. Here are some of them:
    1) Have main spells keybinded, but cooldowns where you can click.
    2) Have a 'rest' bar on your second action bar (you can reach this by shift+Mousewheel) for your buffs / food and drinks.
    3) Have multiple of each spell shown) IE) Rogues blind shown multiple times so you can know when the CD is up.
    4) Hide all your keybindings, and have a couple of bars showing only your CD's.
    5) Making macros of spells that you use together, like mages with Arcane Pressence / Arcane Power
    6) Hide ALL your bars, to do this you well need BT4, and something to track your CD's.

***Note: If you have clicked for a very long time, it may take some time to get use to it, it might be worth it, it might be not.. But you well never find out if you never try***

**I know for many of you this may be ''Common sense'' but I have explained how to keybind to some people in my guild and they now sware by keybinding. I just felt like sharing with you guys, I hope it helps some of you out.**

Nice guide, i can see you (or somebody else, but i think you did it) put some time in writing this.
Personally i only use the mouse for moving and i keep wasd aswell but replace strafe keys (Q, E) for spells. anyways i dons use that many different spells so i use keyboard on 1234, Q, E and capslock. the rest is cooldowns or spells i rarely use and i click on them. works fine for me ^^

And, I take ''Copy and Paste'' as a complement .. :P. Pretty much saying its a good guide, and so good you didn't write it.

S Does serve it's purpose tho, it might just mess you up.. For instance, a level 80 paladin is running at you, and your hitting X to get to a safe place... But oh noez he gots you and your owned.

But if you are use to using your mouse to turn, or just not back padeling then yeah

Been a leecher for as long as I can remember being on mmowned.

I've always hated Macros becuase their setup were never explained, let alone the usefulness of them.

I just might use a macro or two or three now.

    Thanks

    Big
