Onyxia As prot Pally

it showed that there has been a post about prot pally soloing Onyxia, but the video was removed. so I'm going to this a text format. Found out today that i could do it as Prot pally w/o mana problem.

As prot pally, you want to use Blessing of Sanctuary, Seal of Light, Judge of Wisdom. When you engage her drag her to one of the pits with the eggs and make the eggs spawn. The whelps will be your mana regen reagen, thus you have no problem with mana as a prot pally.

He was in T6 as a holy/prot hybrid, a spec created for the sole purpose of soloing a boss, and he chain drinked mana potions.

Was farming her before the patch when she still dropped around 140g or so... not worth it now she only drops about 60g.

Prot pally, was easy... just do as you said, but you only really need a few whelps at a time and not even more than once a minute until you get near the end of the fight (Hammer of Wrath spam).

Apparently she does Deep Breath more now, though i wouldn't be able to confirm since i haven't done it since the patch, as i said.

You didn't know this? With each patch since 1.1, Onyxia has deep breathed more. Studies have shown that her chance to deep breath has increased 50x since she was originally introduced.

I finished her today and it took me about 10 minutes into the fight to realized that i could exploit the whelps to keep my mana pool full at all times. This gives me the ability to spam my damaging skills and heal myself when needed because prot pally has limited mana pool and our way to regen mana is to block thus keeping a few whelps around would solve the mana problem.

You dont have to be geared at all, i can solo this as holy, prot and ret. Its not hard in any spec but a little more healing intensive in ret.
