Welcome Dear Readers to The Rogue's Almanac! In this issue, you will learn how to max melee weapon skills without attacking monsters/players, farm tons of gold without killing anything, and farm tons of gold with the killing, (but not moving)!


- FoK'in Melee Weapon Skills -

Go to one of your faction's major cities and equip some weapons you need to skill up. Next, just stand between two lvl 80 target dummies and start FoKing away! Target Dummies are programmed to ignore potential skill-up rewards from melee and ranged attacks, but FoK is considered a 3rd type of physical attack which ignores these rules while still telling the game your weapons are hitting. From 375-400 it is 10-11 FoK's per skill point, half that for lower points, and it may go even faster with two of the same weapon type equipped. Something to do while trolling trade chat!


- The Gold Avalanche -
You will need: Glyph of Pick-Pocket, Glyph of Pick-Lock, 3+ Empty Bags, Poison Hit Cap, and no points in MoD.

Although The Scourge on The Avalanche in eastern Sholazar Basin drop no loot, they can be pick-pocketed. Simply start at the top and pickpocket your way down both sides to the bottom - the game only stores the last 200 monsters pick-pocketed so by the time you're at the bottom, the top's loot tables have restocked and you can start the process over again. One top-to-bottom takes about 15 minutes and yields around 120g in raw cash (more than a 15 minute daily!), 20 Runic Healing Potions, and 50 Junkboxes which sometimes contain rare gems, jewelry, more Runic Healing Potions, a lifetime supply of poisons, and occasionally an epic Krol Cleaver sword or epic thrower (both BoE!).

Having no points in MoD causes the zombies to stop in front of you like an endless AoE-Distract pulse, making pick-pocketing easy - if you do have points in MoD the zombies will likely run right into you and aggro. The Poison Hit Cap means your pick-pocket will never be resisted. You may wish to fly to your frenzyheart/oracle vendor between each lap as a pit stop to vendor all the grays and excess poisons.


- Northrend Guard Gold-Zerg -
(Suggested for Geared Players Only, and not limited to rogues!)

As an Alliance member I've tested the following at New Agamand in Fjord - Basically if you go into this horde town and stand about 10 yards away from any NPC, it will "summon" a lvl 75 elite guard which takes about 4 seconds to kill, and then another one after that one dies, over and over endlessly. Each guard drops around 80 silver with a very high drop rate on gray weapons/armor and a green weapon/armor every 10 or so kills - great for leveling enchanting! Just be careful to not stand too close to the npcs, as an npc itself can aggro which means you'll have to change position for a new one.

Nice guide dude, I'll use the gold avalanche one, but my gears not good enough to farm guards like that. would prolly work better with a druid or shammy or paladin that can heal.
