You can make nice money by buying glyphs on Alliance AH and selling on Horde AH (or vice versa). Depends on number aliiance and horde palyers on your server.

Glyphs are all the rage in 3.1, always make a custom search for Glyphs.
A simple one I've found is fish feasts, with every raider living in Ulduar atm demand for these has gone up, and more often than not you can pick up the base fish required to create these for far far cheaper than you can sell them for.
Just keep an eye on your AH for the 3 required fish that are mats and the spices, if they drop its some easy profit to be made providing you have the cooking skill to make them.
Just a quick little thing to do on the AH when you'll there, the prices will vary from server to server.
Atleast on my server i can make about 60g for making Arcanite bar from just buying the mats from the AH. I try to keep atleast 2 or 3 up at all time. But why you might ask, Well people are now grinding for Thundefury just for the FoS Achievement and to smelt Elementium Bar you need 10
Well just a quick, easy thing to do while you are in a capital.
Netherweave bag
usually a 100% markup (4g mats, 9g sale before AH cut)
1. Check the achievement page for upcomming events and see what is needed.
2. Get to know what drop rates etc. will change in the next patch, cus those items will drop or rise :P
Requirements:
Some gold
Alchemy 375
Step 1: Buy about 120 Pygmy Suckerfish.
Step 2: Go to your mailbox and grab your poor fishies.
Step 3: Use all 120 Pygmy Suckerfishes to make Pygmy Oils of them.
Steo 4: You should have about 200+, go and put these on the AH for more than what you bought Pygmy Suckerfish for.
Wonderkind.
No idea if this has been posted but i buy 20 Borean Leather off AH for 8g or under then craft nerubian leggaurds that sell for about 6g a pop, not a big proffit but every little helos 20 leather can get 2 crafts and 2 peices of leather spare
Requirements:
Some gold
Inscription (Skill 400)
Step 1: Buy Adder's Tongue from AH for maximum of 20g a stack
Step 2: Mill till you get the reagents to make 6 Snowfall ink
Step 3: Buy or grind 3 x Eternal Life
Step 4: Create Darkmoon Card of the North, If you get a nobles card you may profit alot on the AH. You can also sell some of the Ink of the Sea on AH you get from milling for reagents for Snowfall ink
Just don't EVER sell your BoE greens. DE them and sell the shards.
If you're a JC and have lots of rare gems, uncutted or cutted, never post them with 24 or 48h auction time. There are lots of people selling gems and someone will sooner or later put their own games with a cheaper price there.
Always put 12h time, because 48h is just a waste and the auction cost costs as much as couple of golds

If you use auctioneer, ensure you're using it correctly...
Biggest tip I can give is to keep your scans all up to date, and use the search features to look for Rare/Epic patterns/loot that seem underpriced, specifically if its the only one on.
This works well with WotLK nobles cards. I usually farm/buy mats to sell these cards anyway, but keep an eye on each card, and get an estimate for their value in your head. If you see a card that is somewhat underpriced, buy and resell for the correct price.
Likewise with Nobles cards, check for cards that are the only one of their type. If you find one, do a few background checks as to its rarity at that time (Trade chat - "WTB X of nobles, will pay well" will often see if there are many others trying to sell the same card) If it seems good, buyout that card and push it up to a far higher price. Keep an eye on its progress, and don't expect a fast sale. If people undercut you, that's not a major issue, seeing as you've just raised the price of that card by about 1000gold anyway right?
Cobalt sells extremely cheap on my server, Dunemaul US. Get it, have it crafted into something. Then list the Infinite dust for a whopping 6g, yes 6g on our server. Profit. GCE's generally sell for 15-20g depending on the day. Dream shards generally go for 18-25g also depending on the day.
I also have an awesome AoE grinding area. Works wonders for me as a mage, frost spec'd. There is an area in icecrown near where people do the Chillmaw daily. Acolytes and such.
They respawn at an extraordinary rate. Grab 1/2 aoe, loot. Grab the other 1/2, loot. When you're ready to start again, the 1st 1/2 will be respawned. Nets 300-400g just in coin, and vendor trash. Not too mention HEAPS of cloth and greens for DE. Then sell the enchanting mats, make bags, or w/e you do. I made nearly 2k gold, in 2hrs worth of work.
Works wonders for me!
Hey guys, signed up here a long time ago, never looked that the site until a while ago, I decided to stop being a leecher, and post about how I've made some good money lately.
We're gonna do this by making Armor Vellum III
First buy Ink of the Sea (40g a stack on my server, 40g according to wowhead)
Then go to a inscription vendor and buy 40 Resilient Parchment (16g if you're exalted)
That totals to 56g Spent.
Now make 20 crafts of Armor Vellum III, you'll end up with 40 vellums.
On my server these go for 75g+ a stack. So they should sell for 150g.
150g - 56g = 94g Profit in 3 minutes work.
Now according to wowhead these sell for a lot more on average throughout all servers. So it really depends on your server's economy.
Be careful not to flood the market, these sell really well, because people are always leveling up enchanting or they want to put high level enchants on them for profit.
Don't put up 20+ stacks of these, or you'll get lots of returns, but they should eventually sell off.
Good luck, please post your results if you do try this!
