Making EXTRA Gold ontop of your Mining!!!

Hey guys.

No this isn't another guide telling everyone to level mining and to farm Saronite and Titanium in Sholazar and telling you the easiest path to fly.

This IS how ever a suggestion to those who do mine, how you can further increase your gold by doing nothing different.

I farm/mine in Sholazar pretty much every day. And as mentioned in many other threads you can get your self a nice amount of ore and also a nice amount or Eternals (Primals)
THIS is where you can really increase your gold on top of your ore and titanium, steel sales.


You have 2 options. You can either

1/ Sell your stacks of 20 Eternal Earth or Eternal Shadows for roughly 110 gold ( currently what they go for on my server)

OR

2/ This is what I do.
There is 2 items that a JC can make for you using your eternals.

Stoneguard Band - Thottbot: World of Warcraft [ Stone Guard band 2 x Eternal Earth]

Shadowmight Ring - Thottbot: World of Warcraft [ Shadowmight Ring 1x Eternal Earth 1 x Eternal Shadow.]


If I have lots of Earth and no shadow then I make the Stone guard, if I have lots of both then obviously I make the shadow might ring.
Get a JC to craft you as many as you can with the eternals you get from mining in Sholazar or where ever it is your mining your Saronite.
You then get a enchanter to DE those rings and turn them into enchanting mats.
Pretty much for their level item you will get Infinate Dust and Greater Cosmis Essense.
On my server infinate dust is selling for about 4g per dust and Greater Cosmis Essesence is selling for roughly 25 - 28 gold per Greater Cosmic.
I can easily with a stack of 20 rings make well over 150-200gold just from the mats that get DEd from those rings.

So for no extra farming effort and maybe an extra 15 mins when I finsih famring I can generate an extra 150-200 gold profit from what I already have farmed while farming for ore.

I have put this up here as it has been a while since I have posted something new and I know it makes a difference. Both my self and my GF have been doing this for only a week and made 26k gold.... I bought an epic flying skill on one of my toons that didnt have epic flying skill and my GF bought the 18,999,999 Tundra Mammoth that has the 2 vendours in it.
Yes we farmed every day for sometimes up to 3 or 4 hours each.
But we only sold the ore we farmed and used the guide above, making rings and having them DEd into enchanting mats and making addtional 150-200 gold per 20 rings (roughly).

Hope this helps you guys out. YES it is common sense. Just wanted to inform you guys that by using items you will naturally get by famring Saronite and Titanium, you can generate quite alot of additional income with out having to farm any thing extra.

If you can sell a stack of 20 eternal earth for 110, and it takes 40 eternal earth to make a stack of 20 rings, and you make 150-200 gold from the enchanting mats, don't you end up losing 10-60 gold?

Selling the entchanting mats from the rings works pretty good.
On my realm i can sell the Great essence for 28Gold

Another one if you're a Jewelcrafter is Jade Dagger Pendant for x1 Eternal Earth, x2 Huge Citrine, x2 Dark Jade.

I easily sell this pendant every day for at least 60 gold.

Just to reiterate I did state you can do either step1 or step 2.

With Step 1 I can only speak for my server in it is really touch and go if people will purchase stacks of eternals or not. I do find it takes far longer to move a stack of Eternals compared to enchanting mats.

With Step 2 their is no guarretee of course in what mats you will get from DEing.
What I have found though is that I usually get 2 or more stacks of infinate dust and several greater cosmics.

I find that enchanting mats are far easier to sell and move fast on the AH than Eternals as people are raiding constantly in 10 man and 25 mans.
I am not saying making the JC rings is the be all and end all of making additional money, just wanted to give you guys some options that have helped me and my GF to generate a lot of additional income. We use both step 1 and stpe 2 it really does depend on the AH on any given day.

Hmm I will try this. 1 stack of greater cosmic essence goes for about 300g on my server and the dusts are about 200g a stack. Will try this when i get time.

Hey that's a good idea. Price of eternal earth and shadow have pretty much bottomed out on my server. Earths go for ~3.50 a piece and shadows go for ~7 to 10g a piece. Works for me too because my main is a miner/jewelcrafter. +Rep for getting me to open my eyes lol. Now I know what to do with those endless stacks of eternal earth and shadow that are cluttering up my bank toon's inventory.

I did some more math and i came out with this:

Droprate (from wowhead)

Infinite Dust, 2-5, 75%
Greater Cosmic Essence, 1-2, 22%
Dream Shard, 1, 3%

It's the same for both rings.
Infinite Dust goes for about 5g each on my server, Greater Cosmic Essence goes for 35g and Dream Shards go for 10g.

So over 100 rings you get:

75/4 x2 x5 = 187.5
75/4 x3 x5 = 281.25
75/4 x4 x5 = 357
75/4 x5 x5 = 468.75
22/2 x1 x35 = 385
22/2 x2 x35 = 770
3/1 x1 x10 = 30
--------------------------
= 2479.5

Eternal Earth goes for 6g and Eternal shadow goes for 8g on my server so:

The mats for 100 disenchants are:

100 x2 x6 = 1200
100 x6 + 100x8 = 1400

So by making 100 x Stoneguard Band your profit is:
2479.5 - 1200 = 1279.5g

And by making 100x Shadowmight Ring your profit will be:
2479.5 - 1400 = 1079.5g

So this is confirmed in theory
