Chest Farming once again! [ Not Tested ]

Before I start: You DON'T have to be a Rogue to do this - but it goes faster - and you can get more chests with it!, since some chests are locked.

Cheers - since there's no chests in the new wotlk instances, rogues are unavailable to chest farm, in those.. I didn't have to think more than a few seconds until I realised that if I, as an 80 Rogue - farm TBC instances, and like - take every chest in every TBC instance - I could get LOTS of blues, greens, gems etc.. and I can make a 55 DK on my account - and disenchant them or sell them ;] quite simple, innit? :]

As an 80 Rogue you should be able to solo every "chest guarding group", easily. I'd say. So, here in 7 steps, how to do it.
1. Move to Outland ( An epic flyer would come in handy )
2. Go and loot every chest from every TBC instance.
3. Send it to your banker ( in my case a lv 55 DK - with encanting )
4. If you want to you can disenchant the loot and maybe sell it more expensive, depends on the item.
5. Sell everything
6. ???
7. Profit!

Anyways, this hasn't been tested yet - but I'm quite confident that it'll be a great way to earn money on - aswell as you're getting achievements done at the same time ( dungeon master stuff ). Hope you enjoy it.

TIP: If you're well geared, or skilled - or just have the right specc - you can do it in heroic mode for better quality items :]

Chest farming isn't nearly as worth it as it was during BC, not many people will spend money on 70 blues/epics considering they get better gear at level 68 from WOTLK quests, and the gems you get are worse than the WOTLK green gems...

This is really a pretty poor excuse to get rep, I THINK. I'm not sure. But to me, it looks like you wrote it in the 30 seconds you had before you had to go to school/work.

If you really wanted to contribute, you could search up the instances, get the chests, see how many per instance, anything like that. Pretty much, this is what you told us.

1. Get chests from BC instances.
2. Sell it.
3. Profit.

There is nothing in your post that wasn't said in mine, and it wasn't any more explanatory.

2. Loot their greens and silver.
3. Keep the silver and sell the greens on the auction house.

He's contributing as much as i am contributing when saying: "Go to Tyr's Hand, kill everything, loot hundreds of Runecloth and go sell them for 5g/stack on your auction house." Chest farming was profitable in TBC because of the green items you disenchanted, because of the blue BoE items you could sell on the AH and because of the blue gems that were actually good. None of these are worth farming chests for, so i guess you do better gold on random dailies.

The gold in each chest is around 5g or higher, and the run to the chest, including killing is about 4-5 mins (Including the gold you get from the mobs) you have around 20g just from farming chests.

well i u should farm Sholomance chest since it gives u much more profit per time spent!!! U get 3-4 greens that can DE into Greater Eternal Essence ( form 1-4 ) that sells for 10g/per one ( on my server ) or in Illusion Dust ( much less gold, 2-3g/per one ). U can open a gate and loot the chest in 5min....

And even better, it's rumored that after you complete 5 quests, you don't get locked out of doing quests for an hour before you can accept more quests.
