[Gold Making] Fishing and Cooking

ATTENTION!!! This guide contains use of bots. If you are afraid to use them you can do this manually, but eventually you'll get bored.

INTRODUCTION:
There might be better ways to make gold or whatever, but this is what I'm using atm, and I'm very happy with it.
You are going to fishbot whenever your PC is open, targetting only the most important fish(raid buffs).

WHAT YOU NEED:
- Fishing (375+)
- Cooking (400+)
- a Fishbot (in TBC I was using Pirox, but now I can't run it, and atm I'm testing Mr. Fish it ;or you could try Iwana - thanks to Heftydogg for reminding me)
- a level 80 character

THE RECIPES:

Misensi - Dalaran(70.3
Alliance
Derek Odds - Dalaran(40.65)

* this recipe costs 3 Dalaran Cooking Awards( you can obtain them from cooking dailies )
* Why I've choose this recipe? Well, because most of the guilds have in every group a player with cooking that can use the Fish Feast, but this one got agility which is very good for tanks and rogue/feral drood dps and you won't find +agility in Fish Feast.

The strategy:
1. Fish bot everytime your PC is open, except ofc when you want to raid or do other things with your account than fishing.
2. Always keep a good supply of lures in your bag.
3. Cook Musselback Sculpin into Grilled Sculpin and sell them on AH for 35-40g , cook Bonescale Snapper into Grilled Bonescale and sell them at vendor for 60s each or use them while grinding , cook Dragonfin Angelfish into Blackened Dragonfin(you'll need Northern Spices, you can buy 10 for 1xDalaran Cooking Awards, and if you have friends you can buy the Northern Spices from them - 50g/10spices is a very good price) and sell them on AH for 190-200g - I own the food market on my server and I sell them directly to buyer with 180g, depends on how often they are buying from me; you'll often get Pygmy Suckerfish , you can talk to a friend alchemist and craft Pygmy Oil (I sell them for 120g/stack, with 1pygmy suckerfish you can get 1-2pygmy oils)

Fishing Places:
I fish in 2 places. First one in Borean Tundra in Gammoth cave, deep down(you can jump from the upper part and u won't die). There are some mobs but if you are lvl 80 they won't attack you.

POSITION:


The second one is in Dragonblight at a lake. You can stay wherever you want. I like this spot because I can fish there with my priest aswell who's only lvl 71 and the mobs won't attack me.

I would advise using Ziao's fish bot "IWANA"

It's worked pre-bc before Pyrox even made his, and continues to work perfectly every time even in Wrath now, without ever needing to be updated.

I've never tried making money with fishing but it looks like a great way, anyone know how good glider is at fishing?

I've never used glider... Too many accounts got banned cause of it and I don't want to loose my personal accounts with this but if anyone have tryied it before... they could share their opinion:P

i love Mr. Fish it! its the best, "accidently" left it on all night a few times for deviate fishing and made around 400g. also, great guide! yes fishing and cooking does = $$$$ but, i would like to say that i usually sell the fish uncoocked because they usually go for more on my server and

I sell uncooked only by request... If anyone needed fish to level up cooking from the important guilds(I'm well known there) who are too lazy to stay and fish, they were whispering me. I was selling all the mats for 1-375 for 2500g or something like that...

You could try that too if you want... Don't really know what to say atm, I didn't try it in WotLK
