Anzu - Raven Lord

Hello - In this guide I focus on killing Anzu for the mount. For this you'll need to be or have a decently geared feral druid with the key to summon Anzu.

(Note if you have 2 druids you can just stealth to the room with Anzu in and clear the room, the first boss can be bypassed by hugging the wall)

This boss is soloable, but since you may not be a druid yourself or have the gear/skill it is easier to two man with a healer or a DPS.

To save ALOT of time the feral druid will need to stealth through the whole instance and kill the last boss, this boss is extremely easy to solo, if you haven't done him before, simply tank him near to a pillar and run behind it when he begins to charge his AoE, healing on the way.

Doing this will open the shortcut and you will only need to clear the first room of mobs instead of the whole instance to get the none-stealther to Anzu.

Then you will have to clear all the mobs in Anzu's room or the birds may pull them.

A few notes on the mobs:

Prophets: Humanoid, can be CC'd and they fear.
Talon Lords: Humanoid, Stun
Shadowmages: Attack random party members with a wand, Undead
Scryers: Undead, Heal themselves and others.
The Birds: Beast, Stun and Charge

Once the room is cleared you can start on the boss. If you have a Healer (Or DPS who can heal) this will be alot easier, as you will only need a bit of healing to top you up. However if you have a Feral Druid and a DPS, then you will have to heal yourself after the self-banish and before the birds begin to attack. The "Spell Bomb" can make this difficult, but with the extra DPS you will be able to get the boss down before you run out of mana or die.


The boss himself regularly stuns everyone in the room, and cyclones the person without top threat. Twice during the fight he will banish himself and summon birds which need to be AoE'd down. After two minutes or when the adds are dead the boss will un-banish and begin attacking again. He can still stun the room in banish.

Also, if the person you are doing it with is a stranger, I usually offer 2000g if it drops in exchange for master loot. This is good because they don't notice it is very unlikely they will get the gold as the mount probably won't drop the one time they do it with you. And when it does drop it's worth the gold. This also rules out ninja's.

If you don't have a friend to come with you, most nabs on /2 will be capable to do this if they're level 80. Just say there's a chance to get 2000g or more depending how much you're willing to pay. Most people don't know how much it's worth.

Hope this guide has helped! Once T8 comes out I assume it will be alot easier to solo it. If you can solo it, I suggest you still kill the last boss so you get saved and the adds won't respawn, the stealth runs will be a lot quicker to because of the shortcut. :wave:
