How to obtain the Mag’har Tabard or any other Faction Tabard for your twink!


I am going to be using the Mag’har tabard as an example.


The Mag’har tabard is a item that you can obtain in similar ways as the Furbolg Pouch, it’s a very elusive item and you will not come across many twinks that have obtained it.


The Mag’har are a faction in Outland situated in Nagrand, by gaining rep with them you can obtain different items that would benefit a level 70 such as trade skill patterns and enchants and a tabard like most factions.


The difference is the Mag’har rep can be grinded unlike most factions which you stop gaining rep from mobs sometime after honored. This way you can grind all the way to exalted on a low level character and obtain a tabard that is normally meant for level 70s.


The method we are going to use to obtain this item is called ghost running.

• You will need one level 70 (more if possible)
• A Warlock
• Lots of spare time

To start off get your twink/s that you wish to grind the reputation with in the same party.


Raids = 8 rep per mob
Party = 10 rep per mob


Firstly ask your warlock friend to summon you to Garadar; you will gain 0 EXP from this summon.


Summon your twink to here

Once you are all summoned run out of Garadar to the north and attack one of the zebra creatures with your twink, don’t stray to far because you will get discovery experience but you should be able to do this without getting experience.
Once all your twinks are dead run to the level 70 in your group who is still alive.


Then you get to pick which grinding spot you prefer as there are two. I prefer the one to the left but only because if you get bored you can do a spot of ganking at the ring of blood.



Once you get there start killing mobs, you and your twink will be gaining reputation.

Myself (Inky) did this rep grind a slightly different way, we had 2 70’s that could help us all the time (hunter + warlock) but we had 4 twinks which we wanted the rep on.
So we had the Warlock and the 4 twinks inside the party and the hunter outside the party, basically the warlock would run around agroing the whole zone and putting dots on the mobs, as soon as the first tick was on the mob the hunter would kill the mob and the party with the warlock in would gain full Rep.


This way is a lot more efficient than killing 1 mob at a time but it requires good gear on the 70’s and at least 2.


It will probably take you around 2 days to grind the rep (/played), as soon as you have hit exalted you can run back to Garadar on your twinks and resurrect, then run to the reputation vendor located here


And purchase your tabard!


This method can also be used to obtain the Kurenai tabard (Alliance version of Mag’har) and Sporeggar tabard; these are the only 3 obtainable tabards.
