Go AFK and lvl up your wep skill

Yo...

i was making a twink and i couldn't let it ding so i had to figure out how to skill up my wep (he was lvl 39)

i found out something

well you need, the best would be i mean, a lvl 70 - even better if it's a rogue/druid/tanking warrior

what you do is to go to Blasted Lands and find a Servant of X
you attack it with your 70 and generate some agroo then u start with ur char to skill up

it works the best with paladin when u use JoLight

if you do it with a pala you can go afk (as long as u are in a none agroo spot) and get your wep skill




it might be useless as you can go attack some immune mobs or undeads on quel'danas but if u want to skill up wep with ur twink and don't want to lvl up the best way is Blasted Lands

PS if you want to speed wep skill gain - equip intellect gear

enjoy this glitch while you can because when 3.0.2 and wotlk go live this wont work anymore. i know since im on beta and now im leveling my palys weapon skill on live while it still works.

Btw element, what is it that ain't working in Wotlk, the gaining weapon skill from banished or the servants being unkillable?

From patch 3.0.2 (next patch, not wotlk) you wont get weapon skill from hitting the servants or any banished mobs. This includes the mobs in smw banished with totems.

This is so old, i used to do this back in 2005-2006
And as the posters above me says, this will be nerfed in the next patch, so use it while you can.

Uh are you sure its a nerf? I was on my warrior doing it, and while they are banished for like 30 seconds, they become 'unbanished' and begin attacking again, yet not dieing...

So you need a lvl 70 friend who dont mind being whacked on by a mob for 5-10-60 minutes while you level your weapon? instead of just going to any lowbie zone and one shot grey mobs.

Not to mention this is repost #9000 of this "trick"

Intellect havent worked on weapon skill snce before patch 2.0 or so.

And even further, you would have had to explored the palce before going there if you are very close to leveling your toon.

god...in the next patch there will be dummies in SW and other cities that u can level up your wep skill on...right click on dummy and go afk..
