I intend to constantly update this guide. If you are also on Beta and see that something here is missing which you can prepare pre-WotLK please tell me!
*Updated 22/08. Almost all of the information about achievements which you can already complete/prepare are here. Might be missing some minor details, will give it a review later.*
What you need to know:
-As it is, the Achievements can't really track everything perfectly. Even though Blizzard is trying to enhace the tracking system, it is not garanteed that some of the things you did will be counted, unless you have a quest or item that can prove so. For example, lets say you killed Nefarian but never got any loot from him: currently many players are not getting that achievement.
-Achievements can be seen by other players, you can compare yours to others, just like the male genital. (See what I did here?)
-This guide is not yet complete as not even the achievements menu is not finished.
-I will only mention Achievements that you can currently do fully or partially, not every single achievement.
General:
-Levels - 10 Achievement Points for every 10 levels you have gotten;
-Plenty of Pets - Collect 15 Vanity Pets. (Max I have seen on this achievement was "Collect 50");
-Represent - Obtain a Tabard;
-The Right Stuff - Learn mount skills. 10 Achievement Points for each of the following: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert and Artisan;
-Safe Desposit - Buy 7 Additional bank slots;
-Master of Arms - Raise 4 weapon skills to 400.
Quests:
-STV quests from Hemet Nesingwary Jr. Map: Hemet Nesingwary Jr. in Stranglethorn Vale - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
-Nesingwary questline in Nagrand. Map: Hemet Nesingwary in Nagrand - Thottbot: World of Warcraft
-Complete 3000 Quests (10 points per: 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000. 50 points for 3000).
-Complete 5 dailies (complete them before WotLK comes and deliver them then for them to count, plus get closer to 71!)
-TBC, every zone has its own achievement, the current Total of quests per zone to get an achievement doesn't seem to be accurate as there are more quests than it shows on the achievements menu.
Shadowmoon Valley - 90.
Blade's Edge Mountains - 86.
Nagrand - 87.
Terokkar Forest - 68.
Hellfire Peninsula - 90.
Netherstorm - 130
Exploration (rewards with the title: The Explorer):
Obviously, this is where you have to explore everything.
The system seems to be a bit buggy and as long as you have the map fully showing for a zone it grants you completed, even though you might be missing a sub-zone.
pre-TBC content is by far the biggest pain, 2 full continents and both bigger than Outlands.
Player vs Player:
Subdivided into Arena and battlegrounds. If you fully complete all the PvP achievements you are awarded the title of BattleMaster.
Most of these have to be done on WotLK and not before, such as "Be the last man standing on a 5v5 ranked arena match".
Some others you can already complete such as "Obtain [Autographed Picture of Foror & Tigule] (drops off AV players).
Dungeons & Raids:
-Counts every dungeon pre-tbc;
-Every dungeon in TBC + Heroics;
-All pre-TBC raids excluding Naxxramas;
-All TBC raids including Kil'Jaeden.
Professions:
-Obtain Grand Master on the 3 secondary professions (Training skill past 375, so get yours to 375).
-Bake a Delicious Cake (Cooking, prepare the materials).
Reputation:
The rank Exalted was added some builds ago, logically it should belong as a reward to these extremely hard achievements. You must get basicly all the reputations to exalted in both Classic and TBC (futurely WotLK aswell). (--to add factions later--)
World Events:
Most need to be done at WotLK. Not much you can or should do about this.
These achievements are about events such as Children's Week or Brewfest, where you will have many different achievements for each.
Feats of Strength:
Currently I can see that having a Collector's Edition pet counts on this category. I believe that arena 0.5% top titles count in here aswell, along with pre-TBC ranks. These achievements do not give you points, but surely will give you attention.
- Confirmed that pre-TBC ranks count, at least 12+. Currently bugged and showing the rank for both factions though, so it shows 2 Feats of Strength.
-Confirmed that Feats of Strength do _NOT_ give achievement points.
